Run stock bodys. (but then Ford and Dodge would have to come out with a new car, becuase of the aero)

Take the damn plates off for dega and daytona

run smaller spolores(sp) (the wing on the trunk)

they use the samer motors trannys ect.

I don't know if NASCAR should do the following, but I would really like to see a primarily oval series of absolute 'show-room stock' cars.
The only modifications being for safety: drivers seat and restraints, rollbars, fuel cells, roof flaps, kill switch, radio, etc.
Divisions could be established by cylindars/horsepower/weight or combinations thereof.

Just my foolish thoughts.

give everyone teh "special" plate that jr always get lol
and let them run wide open with the right size fule tanks and have more winner takes all races

Switch all the tracks to a figure "8" layout, then it won't matter!

Seriously, the common template is causing NASCAR to be more like an open wheel series where you have to employ an engineer full time to tweek out a 1/10 of a HP advantage. The example of this was when Tony Stewarts car was caught changing the rear deck. I say go back the the roots of the series where the body was different and you had to pressure the car companies to come up with something different, then the showroom customers will benefit.
