It seems as though half of us think this dega race was a snoozefest & the other half didn't have a problem with it except for the anticlimactic finish.

For those of you who checked their eyelids for light leaks during the race, what do you think should be done to increase the intensity?

Of course for those of you who enjoyed the whole race, or just didn't like the ending, is there anything you'd do to alter how the race played out?
 
No gas pedals. Just safety wire the throttle wide open. I guess that wouldn't change much.
 
The whole race seemed good to me, something going on all the time and lots of lead changes. The 9 car didnt wreck as early as I expected but he DID wreck so all is good. Real happy everyone is healthy after the race
 
What needs to be done? I think Nascar needs to super glue a football on top of the cars. Along with the go team go on the hood, the football would fool the watcher into believing they were watching a big run in a football game. they still might be confused for a bit though, blue team, red team, yellow team..two many teams, but just tell them it is the new Canadian foot ball league.
 
More phantom debris cautions . Bunch up the field with bumper to bumper ,door handle to door handle restarts . There's your drama . 43 cars ,hammer down to the green flag . Soon as they get spread out , caution again.

Absolutely horrible idea ................................ A football should never be allowed to pollute an automobile race.
 
Good race. Several races have ended like that. Some people are mad because there wasn't a 20 car pile up. They like wrecks, not racing.
 
Yea, like TRL said I wouldn't change anything. The aero package worked. Pretty good racing IMO.
 
I didn't get a chance to watch the race live but watched the race rewind on nascar.com and it seemed like a good race other than the ending.
 
Bring back the 2-car draft - or at least allow drivers to communicate with each other for the race again so they can work strategy differently.
 
What little I saw of it, I thought it was pretty good, I wouldn't change anything.
 
I thought the wings on the cars worked well on the restrictor tracks. I saw some recoveries from certain wrecks with the wing. I think there was a lot more passing too.

Yeah but anytime a car got turned around the wing acted like an air scoop and lifted the car off the ground in the blink of an eye.

Gotcha............... I avoid facebook like the plague.

I like a bit of wrecking now and again but the truck race this weekend was way too much.

Come up with a NEW plate race points system for the chasers at this race. Every lap each chase driver gets points.Keep it race #5 or 6....MAKE THESE CLOWNS GET UP ON THE WHEEL
 
I think they need a LeMans old style style start. Drivers would be required to run to their car, get in and have all their safety equipment hooked up and a radio check before they can start the car. upon pitting, drivers would be required to dismount the car, make two complete orbits around the car, hook everything up without any assistance before they can leave the pit box. This is n part with Melrose's scream to make these clowns get up on the wheel..there isn't room to get up on the wheel, so orbiting the car has been substituted..clown suits are optional, but can be worn in faith as part of the ongoing 100% effort.
 
What needs to be done? Re do the points so drivers can drop the 2 lowest finishes when determining the championship. That will create more incentive for drivers to go for a win since not finishing isn't so heavy a penalty.

Even better idea - extend the Chase to 36 races starting at Daytona in February and include 43 drivers.
