Howdy folks, don't worry you're in the right place. Just did some major upgrading to the board's software.

This is a newer type of message board software and I managed to convert everything. The only thing that didn't make it through were your avatars, but you can add those again in your "My Controls" area up at the top.

Feel free to ask for some help with getting your avatar sized correctly.

When I said I wanted to clean up and repaint before Daytona, I didn't think there'd be a total remodel. Interesting, think I'll have a look around.
 
HELP,PLEASE! I want my avatar back but have it in my saved pics folder and have no clue how to add it! Remember Intel may be inside my computer, but I am an Internet dummy!

No more picture posting??
 
Looking good boss. Very similar to the college football board I go to. Think everyone will really like it :)
 
Every time I try to add an avatar, it tells me that type of file is not allowed. I've tried the help section, no luck. All the files I tried were either bmp or jpg. All were picture of Ward or his car. Now Paul, are you not allowing Ward pics anymore? :ph34r: Are we supposed to enter a size in the window on the avatar page? I'm losteded.
 
I had that prob last night, but I finally got it to go through. Make sure you punch in 120 and 120 for the picsel size.
 
paul, I am trying to change my avatar from the one that I selected, but it won't change. I am confused. Please help. :(
 
The av that I selected is on my computer. I want to change it to another one that is on my computer. I know that they are not the same picture, but when I select the pic thru the browse, then click to change it gives the appearance that it is going to change by going to the "thank you" screen. BUT, when it comes back to my control screen, it is the same as it was and not the new pic.
Am I confusing you? :blink:
 
I don't know...but you don't have to have it the maximum size. It's distorting your avatar, just enter the actual size that it is.

I downloaded it from a Google search to this computer. I tried it without entering a size, and with entering 120 X 120. Same result.
 
Is it a jpg or a gif? or a jpeg?

All ya gotta do is press the browse button...

Try again and if not I'll do it for ya.
 
I saved one as bmp and one as jpg...neither worked. Will try again now though.

Just tried it...got this.

The error returned was:

You are not allowed to upload that type of file as an avatar

I keep finding cool little features with the software. I love it.
You can click the number of repiles and it will tell you who has posted in that thread and how many times they have posted under that thread. SAves you time if you can't remember if you have posted in the thread.

paul, my avatar has changed to the other one that I wanted. maybe it just took the system a while to "catch up"??? :huh:
 
This place has really changed alot. I don't care for the banner on the side, kinda distracting. I also liked having all the stats listed on the main page at the bottom. But all in all, it will take some getting used to.
