If you were the "Ceo" of nascar, what changes would you make to make nascar the best it can be?:)

.

Same rules for all drivers and car owners no matter the social status.

I would keep the points as is but add an extra 75 points for winning the race.

1. Get rid of the Chase.
2. Across the board, standard penalties.
3. Get rid of the Chase.
4. Make cars looks like stock cars.
5. Get rid of the welfare points system.
6. More emphasis on winning.
7. Get rid of the playoff.
8. More standalone Nationwide, Truck races.
9. Get rid of the Chase.
10. More short tracks.
11. Get rid of the Chase.

I would like to see more truck races. I love to watch the trucks run at night under the lights.:)

Limit the number of Nationwide races a Cup guy can run.
Get rid of the chase
Keep the current point system but add 25 extra points for the win
Add more short tracks and another road course or two

I would have someone paint the bathroom stall door at the infield mens room at Pocono. And fix the leaky faucet too.

I would fire Brian France.

Thats a start...Helton, Darby, Pemberton, need to go also...Then hire people with an actual education, since none of these guys made it past High School...

Random drug/alcohol testing even for the above mentioned people...

Hire Dave Despain and Robin Miller as CONSULTANTS...LOL...:D

Provide "REAL TIME" speed telemetry to the networks/fans for each car while on pit road....NO MORE SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT

Bring back the old car.
More road courses
Kill the start and park teams, if that means only 30 cars start the race then so be it.
race back to the line when the yellow is thrown
get rid of the yellow line at daytona and dega

If drivers/owners want to duke it out or wreck each other then go ahead and let them go. Some people just need a good ass kicking every now and then.

the concession stands could use a little spiffing up too. bright colors are always more upbeat.

Keep and strictly enforce safety items. Engine mods limited to 358 ci,as it used to be.
Body styling is up to the manufacturer. Screw this common template bull.
Remember when GM had Chevys, Pontiacs, Olds and Buicks on the track along with Ford and Merc, Dodge and Plymouth?

"Parity" and "level playing field" is well on the way to destroying this sport.

If I were to be named CEO of NASCAR, here are a few things I would change - effective immediately:

1. Shorten the races - With the exception of the Daytona 500, I say let's decrease the amount of laps for each race to make the race more of a... well, race. No more riding around and no more "it's time to go because there are only 50 laps to go". And yes, to a certain extent, it is about attention span. I admit I do become disinterested in follow the leader type racing, where everyone is just biding their time waiting for "go time". I'm kooky like that.

2. A race will never end under caution - So there's a crash on the last lap while the leaders are battling for the lead. The race shouldn't end there, imo. Just clean up the track and let's determine who the real race winner is - under green.

3. An infinite # of GWCs during the final laps - How many times this year (or last) have we seen a race with even two green, white, checker finishes? Not much, if my memory serves me correct. If you think allowing more than 3 GWCs during a race makes for a longer race, see suggestion #1 above.

4. Eliminate the yellow line rule on the last lap at both Daytona and Talladega - I think this rule during the race is a good one - just not on the last lap. Let's prevent controversial finishes (see Stewart/ Smith) and scary wrecks (see Edwards/Keselowski) attributed to this rule on the last lap at these tracks.

5. End the season at Daytona - Swap the July Daytona race with the season finale at Homestead. Every year, someone brings up the odd placement of NASCAR's "Super Bowl" at the beginning of the season. I say leave the Daytona 500 where it is, but bring back the boys to Daytona in November to settle the championship in the final race. You know, like the real Super Bowl determines it's champion in the final game. Will the races be so close to each other that it will affect attendance? I don't think so. The inactivity of the off season should fix that.

These are just my opinions and a lot of you will not agree with me. There are a lot more changes I could come up with but these are the first that come to mind.

1.) Work with Ford, Toyota, Dodge, and Chevy on creating a racing package that includes a chassis, body, motor, transmission of their production car. Give it a fancy name like "High Performance" brand that they can sell on the showroom floor and you can see race at the tracks.

2.)Decrease the amount of 1.5 miles Tri-Oval, bring back some of the legendary short tracks like Rockingham.

3.) Shorten the race to a Maximum of 300 miles, with the exception to the Daytona 500 and Coca Cola 600.

4.) Have Goodyear create rain tires, so that the race doesn't have to end when it starts to rain, the drivers can just pit, swap out slicks for rain, it should make some interesting pit stops and shake up the field a bit.

That's all I can think of right now, if I have more ideas, I'll share 'em.

I agree with all of those except #4, lets get rid of the yellow line all together, that's what we have spotters for. Oh yeh and one more, get rid of the damn plates already!

Modify the length of races by adding or eliminating laps so that fuel mileage does not determine the winner.
