I've done a bunch of so-called "bucket list" stuff already...so I figure when I retire I will do pretty normal stuff for 10-15 years (gardening, going to races, etc.) then if I'm still in decent shape around 80 I'll do all the dangerous stuff. Go on Safari to Africa, jump out of an airplane, tour Syria, try LSD. My logic is, I'll croak eventually sometime and it would be cool to be remembered as the "Uncle who was eaten by a lion in Africa" or the "Uncle who forgot to pull the rip-cord"...instead of the "Uncle we had to visit in the Nursing home".
...but you really can't plan these things...

The same thing I have on every list Pinky, try and take over the world

You will need a trusted assistant with in-depth knowledge of the international banking system.

But if you can't find one...I have a passport and know the word for beer in 6 languages.

I have a sports bucket list but not sure I have a complete life bucket list.

See a Cup race at Bristol, Daytona, Talladega, Watkins Glen.
Go to the 24 hours of Daytona, 24 Hours of Le Mans
Go to the F1 race at Monaco
Go to the World Series (Preferably with the Cubs in it, with my Dad and brothers)
Go to the Masters
Go to the Kentucky Derby with my wife

1. Skydiving
2. Skiing/snowboarding
3. White water rafting
4. Snorkeling in the Bahama's
5. See the Detroit Redwings play at home
6. Attend the Daytona 500

I'm sure there are more, but those are what come to mind, not exactly in that order.

Which one? I drive my classic '81 Olds as my daily driver and LOVE it. Not a day goes by that I don't almost cause accidents with people gawking when they should be paying attention to the road.

Yep, '81 is officially classic. Scary, ain't it?
at least 25 years old - yep 81 qualifies. I have a lot of favorites but I'd like a mid 60's Imperial but that won't easily fit in my garage. I've been looking at cars like a 65 Thunderbird, Riviera, or Gran Prix. I also like the Avanti. Muscle cars are expensive and I'd like a car with more luxury and refinement. (I did check out an AMX last fall).

1. Attend Manchester United game at Old Trafford
2. Attend Indy 500
3. Attend a F1 Race
4. Attend a Champions League Final
5. Attend World Cup Final
6. Play a round of golf at St Andrews, Pebble Beach, Augusta and many more
7. Go to The Masters, Ryder Cup, Open Championship, and PGA Championship (will be checked off later this summer)
8. Attend Daytona 500
9. Drive a Ferrari
Probably others I can't think of

Yet to do
1. snorkel the Great Barrier Reef.
2. Drive a top fuel dragster.
3. Own a Ford GT-40
4. What ever else comes up.

3. Going to several Nascar races and to have pit passes.

4. Seeing and participating in my daughters life, the rest of my life.

5. Getting my AA degree in Graphic Arts, maybe even my bachelors degree.

and lots and lots more wonderful dreams.

It has been great reading through all the different things people would like to do. At this point I can't think of anything within reason I would like to accomplish but I am sure if I could suspend reality I could come up with something.

Not so much a bucket list, but I'd like to visit Yosemite and Yellowstone while I'm still "young"

Not much of a bucket list for me either but here is a short list as I don't have much time to post and I'm realistic about what my body will let me do and what I may ever be able to financially afford to do

*See Joe Bonamassa in concert
*Sky dive
*Take a trip that encompasses Yosemite, Jackson Hole, etc. and works it's way down eventually to the Grand Canyon seeing several sites along the way, and eventually working it's way over to Stevie Ray Vaughan's hometown of Austin,Texas and seeing his statue. The trip would continue on up to see the memorial to the Oklahoma City bombing and back home to Ohio through a few other sites along the way.
*Seeing Stevie's statue is on the list whether or not I get to take the whole trip or not.
*Going to Boston and seeing a lot of the historical sites where our founding fathers did what they did.

1) Discover as much good music as humanly possible
2) (Eventually) settle down with a nice young lady and continue the bloodline
3) Adopt a child, particularly if #2 doesn't happen for some reason

No desire on my part to travel the world. There's enough here in the US of A to keep me busy for a lifetime. Heck, I've got a bunch of places I need to visit in my home state of PA. Our plan is to eventually retire and live out of the RV from then on. Nothing to exciting..... Just relaxing..... Some camping, biking, kayaking, and campfires.

My bucket lists come one weekend at a time. We've got a 60+ mile kayaking trip planed along the Allegheny River followed by a 60+mile biking trip along the same river path the very next weekend. This will be in a couple weeks.

I don't really have a bucket list, but these spring to mind:

1. It would be really cool to get to visit the old cathedrals and castles in Europe.
2. For a really "out-there" pipe dream I'd love to get the chance to hang out and jam with one of my musical heroes, such as Buckethead, John Petrucci, or Mike Portnoy.
3. I'd love to have a Miller-Meteor Criterion or Lifeliner Ambulance, or a Superior 54.
4. I want to walk the decks of an Iowa class battleship.

I'd like to visit Stevie's statue as well.

At this point going in to work today is starting to look like a bucket list item. I've been putting it off for long enough that if I don't get going I won't have time to make up the hours I need to make up. :(

  • Skip Barber Racing School
  • Drive a lap of Nurburging and top out speed wise on the Autobahn.
  • Drive the Tail of The Dragon in Virginia
  • Attend Pikes Peak
  • Attend another F1 race
  • Attend the Indy 500
  • Partcipate in the 24 hour of LeMons
Homestly, I have so many things I want to do. Just have to keep working at these goals.

I always thought the baseball Hall Of Fame would be a great place to see, but as long as they keep the all-time hits leader, Pete Rose and guys like Barry Bonds out of there, it's not really the Hall Of Fame. It's more of a hall of most of the guys who we thought were great and we didn't think may have used steroids or not or guys who we decided to punish for not getting along with the media, like it was said about Jim Rice. I never liked Jim Rice, personally, but what does how he treats a reporter have to do with his achievements on the field and if he is a Hall Of Fame player or not?
