This whole place seems to have undergone a drastic change in recent months.
Old friends rarely post anymore, if a all, and it's not just me who has noticed. Some of our most knowledgeable, devoted posters haven't posted in months, and I miss them.

WHAT'S UP??????
 
i know i don't post that much but i visit everyday and will agree not much goin on here and i miss it

I have noticed that you have only posted about 9 times in 10 days also. Not trying to dog you out or anything but you used to post alot more than that also.
 
I still around. I try to post some about everyday. That is if I am around the house. :beerbang: But I have noticed that a lot of the older ones don't post as much as they use to. :(
 
I have lurked app. 3 years(daily basis) and posted some here for a long time. I have noticed most of the regulars have disappeared. I miss reading all the racing post. This board was full of them and hard to keep up. Come back where ever you are......
 
ya ive only been here for 2 months so i havent noticed a change, but i have noticed there isnt alot of posting, before this post the last person to post was, me, about 4 HOURS ago!
 
I remember at the end of last season several regulars stated they were going to find something else to do with their time because of the new points system being used in the Cup series. I know one was rather vocal about his leaving and a few others stated they were going to follow suit. I'm not going to name any names but I believe those 5 or 6 posters are the ones you might be missing..........apparently they were (and remain) serious. A couple that left I can do without, but they did keep it lively around here on occasion.

I think the site will survive..........there are still a fair number of NASCAR fans around. All it takes is a good topic to stir the conversation. I can't believe this site revolved around those few members........I could be wrong though.

Bucky, to be honest with you, and others, I have found a LOT more activity on another board and am a Mod on 2 others.

We old timers like Golum :wub: and more belong to more than one board but still love R-F.

It kinda seems as if the friendly "pool" has shrunk to a tricke. If ya don't start someting how can ya expect activity? Conversley, if ya don't respond, how can ya expect to see responses?
Maj, Should I slam JJ? LOL cuz I won't and you know me...I don't slam.
Should it be up to me, Maj, Gollum, DEW, TRL, NW, etc. to keep things alive around here? NO!!!!!
I am all for respect and just miss the fun we all used to have even a few months ago.
I LOVE this board and have benn a long time member but feel kinda lonely. We don't need to agree on a persona level, but we all love RACING,
 
hey, i'm still here, i may not be an "old timer" per se, but I have been aroung longer than most...
 
I'm still here. Been busier than a one-armed paperhanger. For some reason everything around the place has gone to hell in a handbasket.

Also, living out in the sticks means you have to put up with unreliable 'net connection.
I'm lucky to get a couple of hours in the afternoon without being punted off.

Sure wish I could afford satellite --- Directway would be loverly. :)
 
Lappy, I know that you are VERY into your own racing and am very proud of you for your devotion to your dream.
TRL, I also understand your situation.
I know that some sond give a flip about ME and that's OK. I'm a big girl and can dea with that.
Axl, I see you here a lot.
The last time I started a thread (months ago) about "Race Day At ......." or something like that which is a running commentary on the race of the day, there were so few replies that I quit doing it. Same for "Rate The Race" and race results.
 
Hey ya'll, I guess I better check in too.
I arrived here about the same time as TRL(before it was known as R-F). The first name we went by was Pentameter. I still lurk everyday, but don't post much anymore. I still keep in contact with some of the real oldtimers that have moved to other boads.
 
I noticed a change as well. It seems the Nascar chat portion changed. Instead of being about what the team was doing or the strategy that was employed during a race, the chat seems to be more about why I like driver x. The tone just feels different.
 
This board offered alot of racing info. I miss that. I posted more on the dirt track side.( dirt track racing is my favorite) I read the Nascar board everyday to catch up on all the new info. I miss reading some of the stories some of the older fans had too.

Im not sure what has changed. I know the rules for the races made alot of members upset and they said they were going to find new hobbies other than nascar.
What do you think would bring more people here? We can post only so much news from the big sites without getting into trouble with them, but if you guys have some ideas im more than willing to give some of them a try.

The main thisg i see is that people sign up and never post. We have a lot of members but a small amout of posters.
 
Yeah, I agree .... this board has been missing some members. I have been slack .... coming here off and on to read. Not posting like I was before.

My main problem is being members at alot of boards and trying to keep with with all of them.

Yup, I was a memeber a few years ago and have noticed it go through cycles almost. It seems every once in a while things slow down, granted this is the slowest, but i think sooner or later it will pick back up and be almost as active as the past
 
This used to be like my 'second home' back in the day. Now it's kinda bittersweet around here. Hell, I guess you really can't go home again.

Bummer.
 
Just wanted to let folks know that kat is having computer problems. She should hopefully be back soon, but just wanted to let folks know she's okay.

I have the site on 3 cars now. (well, 2 cause dad crashed the mod) but will have it on 5 cars soon.

Got any ideas on how ppl will post over there? i have the topics to post in, but no one will join.....should i up grade to a .com site? and not the free .tk

Not much. A couple of spats and 2 or 3 trolls that got booted. But other that that been pretty quite. :D

It is not what you think! I did some work for a friend that just had it installed and download speeds - at least on his connection - were not near what I expected and are actually weather dependent. When it gets cloudy, their connection worsens.

I got to this thread late because I used to just go straight to the NASCAR forum. I didn't even realize that all these forums were here until a week or two ago. I almost started a thread asking this same thing. I had been away for a few months and came back and it just feels different. Different people, etc. Not near the number of posts either. Sometimes not even an "official race" thread. :confused:
