I was wondering why some fans like Kyle Busch, and why some fans love to dislike, or even hate him?

Oh come on!

Do we really need another thread to rehash what has been said in a multitude of threads in the past?

But to each is own.

It's an open forum and I guess there will be some here that don't have anything better to do but to beat this topic to death.

I like him because Andy doesn't;)
But seriously, I like the passion and emotion he has for racing. If it wasn't for Kyle right now the board would be dead

I just dislike him mainly cause he acts tough like getting mad at drivers for things but then when someone is mad at him he don't think they should be mad at him. He's wrecked himself a few times and blamed others for it. Once he cut up in front of Brad and got himself lose then wrecked Brad for it. He got all mad when he wrecked himself at Daytona when him and Tony was racing for the win that one time. If he didn't run from stuff when he caused stuff I would like him possibly.

I'll go with that. He's really talented, but to quote Brad, he's an ass.

Yes, it is an open forum, and I don't care what you have discussed in the past. I only care about what I want to discuss now. So if it irritates you so much, then you don't need to participate in this thead. But some of us have not been on this forum long enough to know everything you know. Since I have been here, all I have read is a lot name calling but no substancial reason for it.

That was kind of one of the reasons that I started rooting for him. I figured if Andy didn't like him, then I probably would. And the fact that he is a very talented race car driver.:)

I only get to watch nascar races on weekends that nhra is not racing. So I havn't seen a lot of the things you are talking about. I just started paying attention to Kyle this year, and I really like the way he drives. Hopefully he is maturing, and will quit doing some of the things you are talking about. Time will tell.:)

Here what was Brad to do???

these are the two I mentioned and then with Kevin this year he ran from Kevin but when drivers have wrecked him before he goes up and gets in there face. Yes Kevin's wrecked drivers but he doesn't run when someone comes up to him about it(see Joey/Kevin)

Hope this helps you Nitro :)

I don't like him because 1.) He races below his level in NNW, Trucks and Late Model, and 2.) He's not a clean racer. He'll wreck you if he thinks it's an advantage.

I'll agree with the above and add that he seem's to hand it out okay but not be able take it without being a puss

Thank you for snotty-ass response.

No, I am not irritated with the tread. I just look at it as just another baiting tactic to create more arguments on the forum in regards to KB.

But I am irritated by the sniping and name calling that has been displayed in this forum lately.

The responses to threads work both ways. If you created a tread and don't like the response you get, then maybe it is you that has issues in your life.

The funny thing - to me at least - is that as quick as fans are to criticize him, they're equally as quick to jump to his defence when I doubt any of us actually know him personally or vice versa.

I guess fans can be every bit as passionate about their drivers as drivers are about their racing.

I don't dislike him so I guess I can't participate in this one! lol

To be honest, I know he comes across as a bit of a jerk, but to me, I don't remember near as much of the "Kyle hate" until the incident at Richmond when he wrecked Jr. That is when it seems the true "hate" for him began...

I deal with fans on a daily basis, and you are correct. Fans do have an awesome amount of passion for the teams, and drivers of their choice. If it wasn't for the fans then racing wouldn't be any fun. I would be lying if I said it doesn't bring goose bumps when you are standing on the starting line behind the car you work on, and the fans go wild when it qualifies number one, or wins a race. It wouldn't be same with out the fans in the stands.:)

Bingo.

I don't care if he is an azz, he can drive a race car.

Sorry Guido, I have never been very good at sugar coating my posts.:)

So by this train of thought, you should also hate Carl Edwards, Harvick, Kezelowski and a few others.

I like Kyle because he's a racer's racecar driver. He shows up to win and he's got a big right foot.
I wear my 18 hat to the bar sometimes when I shoot pool, it chaps a few of the guys, sometimes we box but we always have a beer afterwards :beerbang:

I like Kyle because he is a racer. He is there to win. Second is not good enough. Even when he was out of the running yesterday, what 40 laps down, he was still trying to get everything he could and got popped for speeding.

Even Jimmie has gone and run a race in both series since going to cup.

I like Kyle because he wants to win every race and he races like he wants to win every race. Now if the other 42 drivers out there would do that, then we might have races worth watching every week.

A true Kyle fan would jump in his car and drive away as fast as possible. :D

I'll weigh in just to calm things down -----

I both admire Kyle and dislike him at the same time. I admire his talent and his winning attitude.

What I don't like is his "my **** don't stink" attitude.

Now, before you tell me that a lot of other racers have the same "up yours" attitude, Kyle tends to rub your nose in it.

Some people just ruffle my feathers for no reason that I can put my finger on. Kyle is one of those.

I really think Kyle got a wakeup at Bristol last year. Kyle was doing his lame taunt of the fans with his crying eye routine. When Brad came up and called him an ass, the crowd noise was THE lodest ever recorded at Bristol. That's saying something, and Kyle changed his act the very next week and hasn't taunted the fans since.

Those are defiantly good reasons that could cause someone not to like him. Do you think marriage has matured him any, or is he still the same Kyle he has always been in your eyes?:)

If you think Brad's comment changed Kyle, you are right. I was there and the comment was very funny. It also gave Kyle the drive to do the triple. :beerbang:

Sometimes a celebrity can let their popularity go to their head, and they need someone to straighten them out, and put them in their place.:)

Err...not so much what Brad said, it was the crowds reaction that shocked Kyle.... and Joe Gibbs too. He was horified that the crowd cheared.

The triple? All Kyle had to do was..
1) Bang on Jennifer Cobbs bumper 3 times until he wrecked her.
2) Mess up a cheap slide job and use it as an excuse to wreck the faster car.

Brad showed a lot of class in the closing laps of the Cup race when Kyle lapped him. He had Kyles right rear quarter lined up perfectly but didn't retaliate. Why? "I wasn't competitive and couldn't justify it".

Thank's Blaze. I didn't see them races. That was interesting for sure. As for the Harvick/Busch encounter, I am glad Kyle took what I feel was the more mature road. I want to watch racing, not fighting. If they want to fight , then they can take it to the trailer.:)

I was wondering why some fans like Kyle Busch, and why some fans love to dislike, or even hate him?
I can sum this up quickly by asking another question. Why did some fans like Dale Earnhardt and why some fans loved to dislike or even hate him? And people, don't get into trying to compare the two. The reason for liking or disliking them is the same.

Let's keep this on topic, please.

Personally, I'm tired of the constant Kyle-bashing. It's old, and getting older by the minute. Besides, it's getting to be boring.

Simply put they where both hard core no holds barred racers.

I enjoy watching Kyle Busch race, it's his off track childish behaviour that bothers me
