When Clint Bowyer decided to leave Richard Childress Racing, it seemed sponsor General Mills was left in limbo.

Would General Mills stay at RCR? Or would the parent company of the Cheerios and Hamburger Helper brand decide to sponsor another team?

We now have our answer.

From here.

I thought that CAT had re-upped their agreement with RCR and Burton.

Jeff needs to eat some Wheaties, I think...

They did, have'nt you noticed almost everyone has to have multiple sponsor's anymore, sign of the economy.

Yeah, Flash. I've noticed. It is a sign of the times. What I haven't noticed is whether or not CAT was on the 31 for every race in 2011. Probably not...

Financial Solutions was on the car several times during the year.

Caterpillar to sposnor #31 for most 2012 races: Caterpillar and the familiar yellow-and-black colors will be in the main sponsorship position most of the year on the #31 Richard Childress Racing Chevy in 2012. "We'll still be the primary for the majority of races and they'll pick up some races where they'll be the primary and we'll be the associate," said Greg Towles, director of racing programs at Caterpillar. This arrangement is no different than the team has had with Prilosec or Lennox, both of which have been primaries at selected races in previous years. And in the races in which Wheaties is the primary, Caterpillar will still have a large presence on the rear quarter panels of the car. "We've never bought the entire schedule," said Towles. "And now that Clint Bowyer is moving on, General Mills wanted to stay at (Richard Childress Racing) and so there's some races they can pick up on the 31 car." Towles wouldn't say how many races Caterpillar will be the primary on the car. Towles also said the 31 car's paint scheme will be a little different in 2012. "It's really nice looking," Towles said. "There'll be more yellow on the car. We unveiled it to some dealers in Savannah, Ga., this week and everybody really liked it."(Peoria Journal Star),
