Former Indianapolis 500 champion Dan Wheldon told Sirius NASCAR Radio's Sirius Speedway that he expects to make a run at NASCAR one day, but not until he wins another 500, and hopefully, another Indy Racng League title. "I came to Chip Ganassi Racing to win another Indy 500, and another IRL championship. I owe that to him, but if I can accomplish those things, I you take a very serious look at NASCAR. In fact, I'm sure you'll see me test a NASCAR car in the not-too-distant future."(1-7-2007)

With Ganassi and his open wheel connections, I wonder when Penske will begin to try and recruit some of his open wheel boys. How about Wells? It's getting to the point that the good old boy who runs Saturday night late models doesn't have much of a chance these days.

yes, i believe he has been spotted at more than 1 race, but i dont think they've put him in a car yet, but he might try an ARCA or 2 this year?
