Is there a time you remember thinking, "Wow, I am a grown up"?

For me it was when I test drove my first mini-van. I had another thought like that when I drove that mini-van to Sears and bought paint for my house. I thought to myself "Man, what a grown-up middle-class thing to do"

How about you all?

I don't think I've grown up yet and I'm 44 yrs old!! :D

I can relate to the whole minivan issue. My crew cab truck just wasn't cutting it for driving my daughter and all her friends around anymore, everyone kept telling me I needed to get a mini van, I actually test drove one. I about cried right there on the car lot I felt so old. I didn't give in...I am still fighting it. That day I bought my first Yukon. Fits as many as a mini van but drives like a truck! :)

54 and I refuse to grow up.

Seriously, it was in Nam the first time the bullets started flyin. Thought it might be as grown as I would get.

There has been several times I thought I was grown up. When i was old enough to buy beer, when I drove my first racecar and a couple more, but I was wrong. I know now that I'm still in the process. I better hurry though. I have a little one on the way in about eight months.

That's awesome racerx11! Kids are the greatest! :bounce: :bounce:

You mean people actually have to grow up?

I dunno, it depends on what you mean by grown up.

On some accounts I could've been grown up a couple years ago, or I could have a snowball's chance in hell of growing up. :D

I'm only 14 so i'm not even close to being grown up!!! But i am mature though

I'm 49 and live by this rule: "Growing old is mandatory, Growing up is optional." And congratulations Racerx11, kids are the greatest present you will ever recieve.

Hmph, I thought I would be the youngest one here, but I guess not. I'm only 15 and, meh, I'm not ready to grow up yet. ^_^

20 and still living at home with no job, but going to school. so I don't think I am grown up yet :D

I'd have to say it hit me right after my divorce went through. In the past year I can barely recognize myself. So much has happened to make me the person I am today.

but im still a kid at heart. :p

OK I'm a "Toys are us kid", and I REFUSE to grow up.

I am 60 with health and work problems but never "grew up" and don't plan on it.
