All you have to do is find any picture that you can use, Copy the URL adress from the properties and paste it into the URL box in the adv area. Adjust the pixel size to that which makes the picture look right. If you need any more info just let me know!

Ack... i killed the dancing bug. Ill have to get him back from work. I left him there all alone over the weekend. just call me homer. Plus i think i got a petty av i like so as soon as i can play with the size ill put it up.

That's not true 4X, I have tried for over a year now. Hell still can't post a picture either. Mad_hatter tried teaching me but he disappeared, seems like we are losing alot of the old timers what's up with that? oh well one of these days I will figure out how to change my avatar.

Click on "My Controls" and go to Edit Avatar Settings
If you have a picture that you'd like to use from the internet, enter the address in the first box (make sure there's only one http:// in the box). If you have a file on your computer you'd like to upload, select the "Browse" button, find it, and double click it.
Then enter the image dimensions (how wide and tall it is).
If you're not sure, and you're getting it off the internet, right click on the image where you found it, and click Properties. It will tell you the width and height there (example: "Dimensions: 55 x 50 pixels" - 55 is the width and 50 is the height). If you're uploading it from your computer, and you're using Windows 2000, Me, or XP, you can find this out by right click on the file, clicking Properties, and going to the "Summary" tab.
If you have any problems doing this, lemme know.
Hey fury, I have tried that numerous times, the problem I have is it always says error, this type of file cannot be uploaded, or something along those lines. I think the problem is how I save it to my computer, it is supposed to be a certain type of file and for some reason mine never are the right type.
The accepted extensions are .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, and .swf (I've added the capitalized versions of those extensions as well, since many programs save them as such, and Invision Board is case-sensitive with file extensions)
What is the file name that you are trying to upload?
Can you post the URL to the image here? Put [IMG ] and [/IMG ] around it (without the spaces) and it should show up in your post. Then I'll see if I can make it your avatar.

I mean paste the link to the image without putting the IMG tags around it. Once I get that, I'll fix you up with the avatar.
