Because it's NOT on the cover of the 'Official Nascar yearbook and press guide', the officially sanctioned NASCAR season preview magazine. Rather odd in that almost without fail, the Champions car is featured prominently on the cover. Granted, if you look past the red #8 Chevy being hounded by the rainbow-colored#24 Chevy you might notice the small nod to Kenseth(not his car) on the cover...
Oh well, guess the third and fourth placed drivers take center stage after all. Except in 2002 of course...when you CERTAINLY didnt see the #97 Ford prominently on the cover.
Ok, a small thing maybe. But it seems Jr/Gordon/Harvick are on the cover of almost EVERY racing preview publication this season.
Have you motorsport press guys forgotten who the Champion is??
If so let me refresh your memory:
MATT KENSETH IS THE 2003 WINSTON CUP CHAMPION!! Where's the #17 car guys??![Angry  ](/smilies/angry.gif)
