Where is Wrangman,And Cutiepie?

Paul told them to go piss up a rope. I guess they're still trying.

I pm'd Cutie but got no answer.

Too bad. Our loss.

What the heck happened? Or is it none of my business?

Read their last few threads.

I sent them a few PM's as it was getting bad, telling them to cool out and they decided to post my PMs on the board.

Totally my fault though I'm sure.

We all get carried away sometimes. But I guess if you don't heed the warnings, somethings gotta give.

Haven't been around much in the last few days, but your guys are kidding aren't ya??

66 where are these threads at then? Curiosity has gotten teh best of me as usual.

Thanks for the link.

I thought for sure Paul and 66 we're joking.

It seems to have been going on for quite a while. Just got to be too much.

66 and I were joking...what does he have to do with it?

I've sent them an email, apologizing for getting out of hand. We'll see if they are willing to forgive and forget. I am.

One of the dynamics of a message board is the certainty that one is dealing with other people, often people who are different from one's self.

An added dynamic of a board where opinions dominate the discussion is that said opinions are gonna clash from time to time.

Many of us (and we know who we are) have walked the edge here before. Heaven knows I have. Some of us have stepped over it. Sometimes the hammer falls when it should, sometimes too early, and sometimes too late if at all. Each of us is entitled to his/her own opinion as to the timeliness of these calls. I don't pretend to know or understand every dynamic, every variable, and every relationship at play here or anywhere else.

All I know is, if/when things get out of hand, various tactics are used to try to reign the situation back in. We as mods spend more time than y'all might think discussing limits, whether they are fair, whether they apply to Situation X, ways to make the site a more enjoyable place for those who choose to come here, etc etc etc. Very few knee jerk reactions occur around here. 99% of those that do, are later re-evaluated when cooler heads have had time to prevail. The opinions of all forum members are carefully considered, cuz we're human too and far from above reproach.

In short, in a perfect world, no one would ever be asked to leave. This world ain't perfect. All we are trying to do is create and maintain a site that allows racing enthusiasts to congregate, discuss, maybe argue, and fellowship with like kind. When someone or something starts to interfere with that atmosphere, it's looked at, discussed, and acted upon the best we know how to with what we have to work with.

If you're willing to admit getting out of hand, then why are they bashed back to punk rookie status with a total of 10 posts each. After that kind of slap in the face, I wouldn't respond to your apology either.

What difference does post count make anyway? If you bait and bash as much as DE was doing lately I would think that losing your post count would be the least of your worries. I like DE more than I do most people who are still here, but his posts for the past several weeks have taken on a much harsher and combative tone than ever before. I'm not sure why, but they certainly have. If the forum-owner tries to calm you down through PM's and you don't respond respectfully, what is he supposed to do?

Exactly, does anyone really care about post amounts that much anyway?

Some do, some don't. It's kinda neat to see your title change the first few times. And there are some folks who lend more credibility to a member with a higher post count.

How much that matters varies from person to person. I don't really worry too much about it as far as adding credibility to someone's post...if yer an idiot, yer an idiot with thousands of examples to draw from.

Well, I emailed them and we were talking for a little bit. I apologized a few times for getting out of hand. They refused to offer an apology for posting private messages on the boards. That's all I wanted.

I guess it stands the way it is...sorry to disappoint Alaska.

Well Paul I got a question about all of this. Why are both of their post counts knocked all the way down to 10 i thought they had a lot.

Well maybe but I dont know if you booted them or if you just knocked down their post count like you did to i think it was awsome bill for posting a whole lot on the nascar board
