45 minutes into the 1st practice, and no Mark Martin on the practice chart. Not watching the TV where I am. Anybody tuned in?

I watched some of it, just changed from it. Didn't see Mark, his name or any mention of him. I thought nothing of it til I read your post.

Maybe he's serving a double secret suspension, or something.........:D

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- The No. 5 Chevrolet of Mark Martin will have to start in the back for Sunday's Price Chopper 400 because a fuel-pump malfunction forced the team to change the engine during Friday's practice session at Kansas Speedway.
Martin, who is not in the Chase this season, didn't complete a lap in practice. He realized the car had a fuel pick-up issue and returned to the garage.
Drivers must move to the back before the start of the race, regardless of where they qualify, if the team changes the engine.
Sunday will be the second consecutive race that Martin will have to start at the rear of the field. The right rear shock absorber failed a post-qualifying inspection last weekend at Dover, which forced Martin to move to the last row. He finished 12th.

This is where SPEED updates us on what happened.

Of course, "The Motorsports Authority" doesn't do that. SPEED sucks.

Boy, that's gotta suck to be one of those drivers that Mark out qualified. So far he's got about 8 guys that he's beat without any practice.

Mark is a lame duck. I wish him well but enough is enough. KK is another lame duck. I hope KK takes over at the Hendrick camp next year and kicks some butt.

I thought Kasey was driving for red bull next year?
