Another young hotshoe signed to a quality ride and bringing a sponsor with him.

Ratings increase for Watkins Glen race.

Curious where this week's funeral is being held.

Silly season is keeping them busy , now if only we could find a way to keep the Toyota bashers busy

Al, is well in Nascar, they found away to get Toyota in victory lane again.

IDK if this counts for a Nascar being dead thing but the stats that were posted on the TV thread say that 3.25 million people watched the WG race this year compared to 3.828 that watched last year which was reported by Jayski. IDK if there is a mix up in the numbers but if what is posted is correct the race was down about 15% over last year and about 34% from 2014.

I need some of that for my grilling escapades tonight.

I re-read the tweet you posted and it says that ratings for yesterday's race were up +16% from NBCSN’s 2016 Cup Series average (1.65) which is a misleading and meaningless stat and demolishes any context. It is like the guy that regularly posts that the Daytona 500 had 23 million viewers this year.

Is Nascar dead or dying? I don't think it is. Is Nascar appealing to less people each year? The stats say YES!

I know it is embarrassing, as a Chevrolet fan anything less than dominantion, and the championship sucks.
Just glad that Kyle Busch couldn't close the deal in most cases.
