Penske Angry With USA Today
An angry Roger Penske met with USA Today reporters before Saturday night's race to express his displeasure with that newspaper's Thursday article on his driver Kurt Busch. Busch and Penske have been trying to wipe the slate clean on all the controversies that have dogged Busch the last few years. But each time they think they're getting over the hump, something new crops up. Saturday night's race offered no respite. Busch was looking good early, running as high as third, but he was called for pitting outside his pit box and issued a pass-through penalty. When he returned to pit road, NASCAR hit him with a second penalty for speeding. By the time the three-hour race was over, Busch finished a frustrated 29th. ...Daily Headlines

I read this much somewhere else. I think where ever this information came from there shoukld be a link to the article Penski was PO'd about. Hell he might have legitimate gripes but we'll never know if ONLY the side to make him look bad is spread across the internet.
The paragraph posted is either very poorly written or intentionally written with the sole purpose of discrediting a man without giving hardly any information, but a few things lumped together in one.
I hope you guys are playing your fiddles for this terrible author, because he sure needs to be looking for a different line of work.
I'm terribly disappointed that people would post such BS to message boards with out having all the information available to the readers. And if this is ALL that is available to try and slander someone, it should NOT be posted by anyone with conscience. JMHO!!

Well Noooo Chit!!!

Hmmmm, now I am confused. It seems Mulhern wrote the article and I thought he wasn't very well thought of in these parts. And, now I'm seeing him quoted.
The full article can be read here.

I guess if its a jab at kurt it's ok to post it. BTW nice title for the thread.

After reading Kat's post, wasn't he brought in because he left the stall with equipment still in the pit box (R R tire). Not pitting outside the pit box?

I know y'all don't like Mulhern, but the link posted isn't what Penske was PO'd at. That article was in the USA Today paper, one that Mulhern doesn't write for. Mulhern was just writing that Penske was PO'd at the USA Today's article.

Jeez, even when you ask for a link, you don't get what you want and still get the same reaction.

Eagle, you might want to re-research the article before you show your displeasure.

And of course bp is right in that with all the negative things said about poor little Mikey Mulhern, you wouldn't expect to see anything that the guy wrote posted here...especially from you Kat. I know how you despise that man.

Research what article Buck?
I was expressing my displeasure because a very one sided thing was posted without the links to the articles mentioned so that people could read the whole thing and make up their mind. It's posting Mis information by leaving out most of the important information I'm bitching about. So if you think we should "re-search" the article before showing displeasure why the F didn't you post the effing link like I've been asking for?
This isn't a high school assignment where we come here to read bits and pieces and then have a scavanger hunt scouring the internet to fill in the gaps.
What I'm saying is if you're going to post a story that defames someone or call them a "whinner" atleast post the links to the whole story.

As far as your buddy MM there Buck, if he wasn't trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill why didn't he tell exactly what it was that PO'd Penski off? In just a couple sentences MM makes it quite clear his disdain for Kurt, and then rambles on rolloing Kurts Saturday nights problems like it's all one and proves his point. All it proves is how desperate that journalist wannabe is to try and sensationalize something and pretend he's a real journalist.

I looked at USA Today online and didn't see anything on Penske. So I googled and Mulhern's article came up. If that is the wrong one, sorry. It's the best I could find.

And what does this mean exactly??
Eagle, it came from one of YOUR sources! INSIDER.
Sure I go there and read sometimes and I get lots of information from them, but I do click on ALL the links to an article and if it doesn't explain it all to me "I" make a choice not to post it as fact. So I'm totally confused as to what the fact that I may read articles at a certain site, and may even find a few credible and post them as informative for others to read has to do with posting this particular article?

To tell the truth, it pisses me off because I don't even like Kurt Busch, I hate defending him, BUT....... I hate this constant crucifiction of a guy over every little thing with or without merit is ridiculas!

I honestly clicked on this thread thinking it was about Tony Stewart. ;)

Sheesh, please don't shoot the messenger ;}

Yes Buckster, I can't stand Mike Mulhearn, but he sometimes hits close to the facts.
