Blocking has nothing to do with why Stewie is 20th in points :rolleyes:

Stewart not happy with blocking: #14-Tony Stewart said he loves rookie #17-Ricky Stenhouse Jr. "like he's family," but is fed up with how Stenhouse and other young drivers are racing. "Ricky Stenhouse, I'd choke him right now if I could get to him," Stewart told Sirius XM Radio after Sunday night's Coca-Cola 600. "One more lap of having to mess around with him... " Stewart cited his strong anti-blocking stance as the reason he's upset with Stenhouse, who also happens to be the boyfriend of Stewart's own rookie driver, #10-Danica Patrick. Stewart did not name her specifically. Stenhouse and Patrick were involved in a wreck Sunday night that ensnared defending Sprint Cup champion Brad Keselowski, who shouldered the blame for starting the crash that knocked him out of the race. "Everybody that thinks this crap of blocking is productive, they don't know honestly what racing is all about," Stewart said. "And the guys that do it who think it's acceptable, I lose respect for them every day." Stewart said he wants to sit in on one of NASCAR's regular rookie meetings just to hear what NASCAR officials tell the drivers. When he was a rookie in 1999, former official Gary Nelson used to sternly tell Stewart and his peers about the on-track etiquette.(USA Today)(5-28-2013)
 
Every passing day I am thinking Tony has the menopause.
But most drivers are whiners, only one guy wins and everbody else isnt happy about it.

Here is a big part of the problem, she wiped out another brand new car. Tony is footing the bill on all this damaged equipment. This time she wrecked going three wide.o_O She is taking the focus away from his organization winning races. She had not only one wreck, but she hit the wall hard again and probably wiped out the back of the car too. I guess her boyfriend was supposed to let her have the spot. Don't think there is a much upstairs in the 10 car..yeah Stenhouse slid up, he is involved IMO, but damn. what are you doing in the middle at the back of the pack? Then, probably Tony was trying to bust up to the front on a restart like he likes to do and Stenhouse blocked him. I remember at least twice Tony said the next car that blocked him he was going to wreck? Guess not. He is mad at Nascar for allowing blocking, mad at Danica for costing him money and time wasted on building cars so she can wipe them out, and he took it out on her boyfriend. Wonder if Ricky is allowed to drive her to the shop?

Tony knew he was getting a rookie with little experience when he signed her, he is cashing the GoDaddy checks too.
It is his problem, not worthy of sympathy imo.
 
Tony explained his role in the blocking very well in the interview , but nobody cares . He said that he did it to give them back a little of their own medicine and that he was certainly not proud of it . Basically , he said that 'back in the day' if you did that to folks like Dale , Rusty , AJ , and Cale , they would dump you in the next turn. You were taught not to do that . Things are different today , Nascar , the fans , and the sponsors don't react well to hotheads meating out justice , so rookies don't get educated . All those guys were hard racers and Tony is too , but they weren't considered 'dirty ' racers .
 
Most of today's drivers won't turn another driver that's blocking. They'd rather get out of the car and cry to the microphones about it. But at some point, Tony has to turn somebody to make a point the next time he's block since he keeps bringing it up.

Danica was trying to pass Brad(aren't they suppose to pass) and Ricky just lost control of his car(as usual) and took her and Brad out.

remember Roush benching Stenhouse for tearing up the equipment? He was making stupid mistakes and wrecking cars. He changed and won two Nationwide championships after that.
I don't see the difference here, not only over her head competition wise, but way too labor intensive. Problem is Tony can't bench her, he has to grin and bear it...and hire more people in his chassis dept. Wreck Daddy baby.:)

to me..in almost last place no where to go on a restart, but she goes in the middle? takes the air off her boyfriend sucks him around and he hits her..stupid move..not a pass. Look how close she is on Ricky, no way he is going to be able to stay where he is

 
I don't see anything conclusive in the tape , it was just hard racin by all three . I do agree that racers are stupid not to back out of a three wide situation like that . They have to realize what a low percentage move it is not to back out . I've seen lots of veteran drivers back out of that same situation and lots of rookies wreck .

The irony is he does bull**** like this (I still am pissed at him for dumping Boris Said a few years back) but then blocks the whole field at Dega.

Isn't chop blocking the reason Brian Vickers parked Tony Stewart at Sonoma a few years ago?
 
Tony Stewart thinks racing is a dance troupe he gets to choreograph. If you take all his statements about blocking, racing too hard early in a race, going 3 wide, etc and put it next to all his exceptions to his rules when he does these things, he sounds like a drunken lawyer parsing words.
 
Tony, back in the days when blocking had more to do with Lego's for most kids his age.....
