Does anyone have a White Christmas that was very special to them. This is my special snow filled Christmas:

It occured many years ago. We were all at my parents house in a small town in Pennsylvania. Me, my wife and 2 little boys. My brother, his wife and their 3 little girls.

There was about 18 inches of snow. The trees were covered and it was beautiful outside. We were all getting ready to go to Christmas Eve Church service when the power went out. The snow was heavy and had taken down some power lines somewhere.

We lit candles in the house and continued to get dressed for church. When we went outside all the kids started to play in the snow and throwing snowballs. When we finally got to church that night it was all lit with candles and there was a real candlelight service.

It was a magical evening with all the snow, no electricity, and everyone enjoying the moment.

My parents are now both gone, my brother died young at age 52. The kids are all grown up and gone with their own families. I will always remember that night.

Muggle, that is a very special memory to hold near and dear forever!
As you may know, I'm not Christian, but I wish ALL a very Blessed and Happy Christmas.

Yes I know, but are there any special snow filled moments that you or anyone would like to share. :)

muggle, it is very rare that Texas gets snow at any time, but I do have one special Christmas memory.

We were at my grandfather's for Christmas. I was 8 or 9, my brother was 5, my aunt was 7(yes, my aunt is younger than I). We went to bed on Christmas Eve and we kids just couldn't sleep. We made it until 4AM. We hopped up, went through the house singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" at the top our our lungs until all the adults were up. By 6AM all the gifts were opened, and breakfast was eaten.

One of the best Christmas memories I have.

This will be the first white Christmas that we will have here in close to 20 years. That I can remember. But when I was a kid we had a bunch. I remember once I was sick Christmas Day Dad never much money but he got me a BB gun. Me and him got in trouble with Mama for shooting some of the decorations off the tree. :D

Gollum  Did you get coal in your stocking that year :)

It is dang cold here (17 degrees with wind chill factored in), and we had snow flurries earlier this week :(
