Who do you want to see succeed?

What driver in the Sprint Cup series would you like to see win races and compete for championships that HAS NOT previously competed for (multiple) wins or championships? I'm talking about drivers that are not currently on a top tier team.

I'd have to say Casey Mears. He seems like an all around cool guy.

I have two.

#1 Austin Dillon
#2 Danica Patrick

JJ Yeley was one I always wanted to see do good. I had seen him race quite a few times in the non wing sprints and stuff and he was incredible in those, I thought for sure he would be more than a start and parker.

I am a huge Yeley fan. I just don't think it clicked for him until after he was out at JGR. I see what he does in these underfunded rides and just think damn he might finally be able to get it done. If you need a car or truck in any field he is your guy. I would love to see what he could do now in a fully funded decent NNS or Truck ride.

Other than those mentioned already...

Parker Kligerman
Drew Herring
Michael McDowell
Landon Cassill

If Larson isn't a Cup Champ by the time he's 30 - something is seriously wrong wth the universe. That guy reminds me so much of Johnson it's scary. Johnson was sometimes aggressively wreckless but boiling over with talent and potential ability. After he learned how to take care of equipment, talk to his CC and chose his spots more wisely he became...well, we all know what happened.

Jamie McMurray. I really thought he would become one of the regular winners after his breakout 2010 season, but EGR just completely fell off the map. He was my favorite driver before I realized that Junior was my #1. He just comes across as a friendly, humble, classy guy. It was cool to see him win at Talladega and he has had a few decent runs this year but I still don't feel like that team has turned the corner. Hopefully things will pick up over there once Larson arrives, but I won't hold my breath.

Having a great teammate to bounce stuff off of will help Jamie a lot , I think .I didn't get the impression that Juan was the kind of 'team player' that would be an asset . I think next year Brad and Joey will benefit from having each other as teammates too.

Kyle Larson, Danica Patrick (or another woman who has, what do you call it, oh yeah, talent), Bubba Wallace and Chase Elliott.

Trevor Bayne
JJ Yeley
Jamie McMurray
Casey Mears
Any of the Front Row Motorsports drivers

Must have been lost in the translation ;)

I just posted Dale Jr as a joke bc he's famously known for not winning or being championship competitive even though he's been in top tier equipment all his NSCS career.

Definitely Trevor Bayne now.
I'd also include Aric Almirola and Casey Mears.

Can't believe there is no love for the Dinger.

I hope AJ can get some success in the 47 next year not the best equipment out there but not the worst either.

Johanna Long --- Met her at Phoenix last year, seems like a fine young lady
She is , she's from here, her dad just made an offer on a piece of land on the Perdido River we were looking at.
