I'd like everyone's opinion on who doesn't belong in cup, based on consistent point standings, who causes the most wrecks, who always gets lapped, etc.

Any driver that cannot get a team together and qualify for the races does not belong in the cup series..
WHO in the hell are WE to 2ed guess the millions of dollars it takes to put a team together? You do have some nerve!
Betsy

I would say Kasey Kahne. Is it me or does he seem a little OFF when he is giving interviews? I watched him on that nascar 360 ( I think that is the name) and he is just not with it. He is always getting into trouble on the track. I don't know if he will ever win alot of races. They have bragged about him but I don't think he is as good as they think he is...I guess time will tell.

I think Kasey Kahne is just fine in Cup, with five 2nd place finishes last year and and three top 5's this year I think he is doing good right where he's at.

I would agree that Hamilton Jr and his little Toto dog needs to go back to Busch, just for more experience, Scott Wimmer also needs to go back to Busch, put Ward Burton back in that car.

Well, I'm going to follow Betsy's lead (and that is very, very rare folks!! :D ). I cannot think of a single driver in the Cup series (either full time or part time) that I would say "does not belong" there. Any driver, team or group of individuals who can gather up the bucks (either through sponsorship or out of pocket) and qualify for a race belongs where they have earned the right to be........in the series!!! All I see so far about drivers who "don't belong" is fan dislike or fan thoughts on the driver's abilities to run competitively or that driver's likelihood of being in a wreck or winning. Yeah, there are drivers out there that maybe don't have the experience, or talent to run with the "big dogs"..............but they belong in the series if they can get in a race.

Seems this thread may be just an open invitation to driver bashing. I ain't participating beyond this post.

hey TwoFourTheMoney do ya still think Kasey shouldnt be in the Cup series?

Most uneducated post I have seen on this board so far.

If they don't belong then all someone has to do is step up and qualify ahead of them knocking them out of the race. Unless someone is advocating that NASCAR run with less than 43 cars.
Now are all 43 competitive. No. There are those who appear to have had their best years ad those who are in over their head. But, they are in the top 43 in driving skills that wishes to compete.

I think in acouple years kasey is going to win the championship. I know I don't want jr to be in Nextel but hes better that most racers so he belongs. if i was going to half to pick someone it would have to be Travis Kvapil. You can tell this by last nights race at richmond where the Wannabe nascar driver who will have no career won't win a race won't get a pole or anything like that, after he took out points leader Johnson. Congrats Kasey.

Good God. Grow up would you. Last night was a racing deal. Even Johnson said so.

The replays prove it. Than was a chain of events that started about 4 cars up. Johnson knew that and didn't blame the 77 car at all.
