Who else does this?

Who else re-reads books? I'm on my 4th time through Stephen King's Bag of Bones . Awesome book. If I don't have anything new to read, I'll re-read something. Anyone else? Or is this another thing I'm weird about?

I've only read one book more than once and it was A Confederacy Of Dunces by John Toole.

I've done it!! Not too regularly though! I go through phases where I want to read.........read almost anything. Then I stop for sometimes a year or so. I think, I'm coming up on one of those phases again.:D

i read most of my books at least twice.. well.. only if they're good, but for some reason i always like them more the second time:)

I reread a lot of books. Late at night when I have insomnia and getting on the computer will just keep me up, I will read the books on my bookshelf. There are some books I have reread so many times I know them by heart. They are my favorite books so rereading them is always fun. But if I have a new book to read, I will read it before rereading a favorite one.

Slamming a revolving door....thanks, I needed that laugh!

Don't feel to bad TW.I got a playboy I have read a dozen times.:D

I am always rereading books, most of them are motivating and success stories, so learning them well is really a goal of mine:)

I thought he said rereading. not releering:p

I'm guilty of re-reading books. There are some I've read more times than I can remember. Always manage to find some little tid-bit I missed.

I have my favs that I just can't not read at least once a year.

I have re-read books, and actually caught what i missed the first time reading.........haven't read bag of bones yet...but I love Stephan king books....

Yes, when I find an author I like I try to find all oh their books for my library, and I'll reread them once a year or so.

In the spring I'm moving ang building my retirement home.
Small house. BIG shop & large library/office.

Looks like I'm in the minority on this one. I love to read but to do so, It's got to keep my attention. Keeping my attention entails not only finding the book a good read but also the unknown. Not knowing what's going to happen is what keeps me turning the pages.

PenskeGirl, you are not alone! I rarely if ever re-read a book, except the Old Testament ans Shakespear.

I used to keep a list of all the authors and books I had read.
Now when I go to the library or bookstore, I read the first few paragraphs, and if I have read it before, I cannot re-read.

kat, have you read "And the ladies of the club..." by Helen Hooven Santmeyer?

It's a fiction that traces a ladies literary club from the 1860s to the 1920s. All the marriages, births and deaths of this small group of ladies. Fascinating reading.

I've read that one, TRL. I thought it was very good. It's very interesting how the more life changes, the more it stays the same.

No, TRL, I haven't, but will look for it.

Anybody read "First Wives Club"? FUNNY, and I even enjoyed the movie although I normaly hate movies made from books I love. (Exception, Stephen King movies where he has some control. LOVED "The Green Mile").

Looks like that "spyware" marketscore might be gone, WHEW!

I have really missed y'all! PURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I have to agree with you there. The first movie from a fav book that I saw was "Flowers in the attic". I was in high school. I was devastated when I left the theater. I couldn't believe how much they butchered it!! I've noticed that the John Grisham movies are pretty much identicle to the books.

I've done that a few times, but only if they are factual. My favorite books to read are mysteries, but they aren't any good the second time. The Way Things Ought To Be is one I've reread chapters of and I still get a good laugh and get recharged from at the same time.
