POISON, kinda good metlaish guys in the '80s.

Met them, daughter and boyfriend at the time worked at a college radio station. The record (yes record) cover they looked like gals but that was a publicity thing.
 
I got to hang out with Brett Michaels (the lead singer) several years ago when I lived in Nashvegas. I worked with a glam band, doing sound etc. One of our guitarists worked at Gibson Guitar. Brett had ordered a custom guitar when Poison was in town, and had flown in on a tour break to pick it up. Brett asked if he knew of any decent local bands that were similar to Poison in town. Well, later that night, as I sat on the nasty couch that was in the rehersal room (storage shed), over the couch come a flying mass of bleacj blonde hair and denim. It was Brett. We hung out with him for a few hours, he even sang with the band on some Poison covers. Cool guy. BTW, the band I worked with went absolutely nowhere. Y'all have never heard of them...trust me on THAT one lol.
 
Poision was actually here in Billings last weekend. They played at the local fair. Didn't actually go though, it's cheaper to listen to their greatest hits C.D. :)
 
Didn't the Poision car bring out the caution late yesterday?:D
 
Yep, Cope pancaked the wall. He stayed out on a caution for track position, and was 4th on the restart. He sank like a rock and slapped the wall. I just hope the Poison logo didn't leave make-up smears on the wall. :lips Would that be a Mary Kay stripe? :D
 
I have also met Brett, way back then. Poison made an appearance at the college where my daughter was working/studying and it was sooooooooo early in their career they couldn't afford a hotel so they all stayed at my house.
Nice young men, now not so young. Daughter even kept up a correspondence with Brett when they were appearing in Europe.
 
Poison ain't $hit untill Dolly Parton remakes one of there songs.:p Maybe Every rose has a thorn Joleen,Or something.:D
 
And no prescription meds or liquor went missing during this stay? Amazing! :D ;)

Beieve it or not, nothing missing except what I served. They were nice kids back then. They got into other stuff (like a lot do) once they started to be popular. Nobody even heard of them back then.

I would have been more worried about AquaNet and Revlon being missing. :ROFLMFAO:
