Who still takes IROC seriesly?

Can't you people see it for what it really is? No bashing meant, just a clean question!
 
I like that series and watch it when I can but don't worry if I miss it. :p
 
I used to, I don't anymore. It's like watching a regular nascar event. It just dosen't live up to its name.
 
Yeh same here i watch it if there is nothing else on.....i don't go out of my way to watch it anymore. When it first was instituted it was a novel idea, but i think it has run its' course.
 
I must have missed something.....what is it? If it came on live, I'd probably watch it more, but the only time I watch it is when I catch when I'm flipping through the channels, and by then I already know who won....
 
I see it for what it was. I don't really like thinking about what it is now.
 
I like to see what it could be if they started making things better.
 
I like it, mostly I like that I can see some open wheel and winged car drivers try their hand at some real racing! LOL

I'm a little irritated that they have not extended invites to the Busch and Truck champions as of yet.

Harvick probably will get an invite just based on his championship in the series from last year, a shame because he hardly merited an invite from his Cup performance but since Jeffy and Stewy wanna play games elsewhere they will be hard pressed to find some Cup contenders.

I say since they have four races the should have one at a nascar track, one at a indy track one at a cart track and then one at a track they all race on like the brickyard and have them each race in nascar cars, cart cars and then indy casr it be a whole lot better
 
IROC can still be saved.If they would include some road course and increase the series to 6 races instead of four it would help.

Disapointed that Stewart wont run this year.The best IROC field in some time IMO.

Should really shine on Biffle and Busch this year,though.
 
I agree with whoever said that IROC has run its course. It was a neat marketing tool in the days when racing on TV needed marketing. Now, it's a farce and a waste of time. Just ask Tony or Jeff.
 
I still watch IROC when ever it is on. IROC is not what the name says it is anymore. International Race OF Champions. That should be the top driver from mnay of the series in the world. There should be one person from:
Cup
BGN
NCTS
IRL INDYCAR
IRL IPS
CART
ASA
ARCA
WoO
Silver Crown
Trans-Am
American Lemans

I know that some races would conflict with tthe IROC race but, they should have it a 6 race event and you are only scored for your best 4, that way some people if commited to another series could compete in IROC.
 
Yep cool idea and i would be the one that said it has run its course:D Maybe if it was restructured and re-named it might be a good series again.
 
I could careless about it. Needs a big overhaul. If they ran different cars, tracks, ect. I bet you'd see Tony and Jeff both come back. as it is now, its a waste of time.
