Who will be in the Chase field after Richmond

I think Shrubby has a better chance than Vickers. Shrub DOMINATES on the short tracks. Starting on the pole doesn't get you a good finish at Richmond. Vickers better be at Myrtle Beach or Pikes Peak testing so he knows how to drive on a short track.

That said, I think it's locked up. They both need something to happen to The Old Man, Biff or Kenseth. Even then, Kyle has a better statistical chance at having a good enough run to take advantage than Vickers does.

We've seen Vickers pull Fuel Mileage out of his .... already. Wouldn't shock me if he finished ahead of whiney butt.

Yeah but both Biff and Kenseth have been hot or miss at short tracks. Plus realisticly one problem such as the car running out of gas, engine problem, or other mechanical problem could take one of the top 12 out of the chase. Going to be a nail bitter to the end.

personaly i'd like to C KYB make it. Never been a huge fan of Roush racing & i am still pissed at Vickers for Talladega fall 2006. KYB's had such rotten luck this season after the great run he had last year, damnit he deserves a shot...

IMO, luck - good or bad - applies to every driver equally so I don't know how to factor that into the equation.

I'd be more likely to go with cooler heads prevailing.

Either way it should be a good one.

How often do short track races come to fuel mileage?

Yeah, it's Richmond. Anything can happen. It will be a thriller for sure.

Me, I'm hoping Kyle makes it into the Chase... ;)

I'm thinking Busch will jump Vickers and knock either Kenseth or Biffle out. Neither of them are running great, but Kenseth had luck on his side at Atlanta.

I think the Chase field will be the same after Richmond as it is now.
