Who will drive the Scott 51?

Considering Alliger will be driving it in 3 of the remaining 10 races, and Piquet is heavily rumored to be taking it over, who do you think will drive it?

You are not right but I still laughed.

I wasn't sure how many would get that.

Mr Whipple
Mr Whipple's daughter was pretty hot, she played Jennifer on Perfect Strangers, show sucked but she was easy on the eyes, way too hot for Cousin Larry

I guess I took this off topic.

I don't see Allgaier doing much in the 51. The guy still makes a ton of bad decisions on the track and pisses everyone off. He wrecked his teammate Sorenson in NW and took him out of a real chance to win a championship. He's wrecked Dillon twice already and cost him most of the points he's behind for the NW title. He raced his teammate at Penske like a total jackass back in 2010 during his title run, and wrecked Bayne again and again that same year.

Allgaier is a jealous little twerp that can't handle someone doing better than him.

Yeah I don't like Algaier too much either

I used to like him, but soon realized he doesn't have the talent to be winner, so he races cheap day in and out.
I kinda think they could go w/ a veteran driver until their good truck series drivers are more seasoned. As I said I don't think Algaier is good enough, Piquet might be just ok, but the talent is Beusher, Burton in the trucks.

Agreed, Burton has especially impressed me this year. For a rookie, he's doing a lot better than I expected looks like he could be a stud.

Allgaier is very mediocre at best and that's in NNS, in Cup he'd be hard pressed to be a top 30 driver IMO. I haven't followed Piquet enough to make an informed comment on his driving prospects in Cup but I do know that he doesn't have even half the talent that his dad had.

For next year, I have no idea.. Probably Piquet if he pays for it. I don't know if Harry Scott wants to go out of his nationwide stable, but no one is really ready for the jump that isn't already coming. Personally, if he's serious about it, I'd give Regan Smith a last chance.

Can't argue w/ the idea of giving Regan another chance, he's the best option as far as still young, but also having enough experience. Vickers wasn't a world beater his first go round, but he went back to NNS and now appears to have figured it out.

The only thing I wonder about is if Harry Scott will stick w/ just one car or go to two. Here is a quote from Scott in an interview w/ Bob Pockrass 2 weeks ago:

Plans for 2014 and 2015 for Phoenix Racing are nearly set, and Scott said he could not comment on how many cars he hopes to put out on the track.

“We have the other seven in ’13 accounted for,” Scott said. “We’re not in position to announce that. We also have a significant amount of sponsorship for ’14 and ’15, which we also can’t announce quite yet. … The ’14 and ’15 drivers are set. We’re waiting on the sponsors to be ready.”

What does he mean drivers? Is he going to continue the merry go round that Finch has been or is he gonna run a 2nd car? Interesting that according to Scott that once the sponsors are ready to announce then so is he.

This is likely going to be a rent-a-ride until it gets too expensive with wrecked race cars and then they will be looking for an ageing veteran to come in and stop the bleeding.

Kinda sneaky, whats the harm in announcing sponsors..they love publicity

Hey Allgier, is a great driver...remember how a couple years ago he would have won the championship under thr current points in one series format? Also if you take out cup washups from NW, he would be ranked second right now. Great driver, who will do things.

Guess we will see about that. His first attempt to race in cup didn't come off too well. We expect him to either win or bring back nothing but the steering wheel around here.

He didnt do awful for a rookie. Its just his first start after all.
