With only a few days till the Ford 400 there a five drivers going for the Nextell Cup. Who do you think is going to get it done on Sunday and come out on top.

I'm going to go with Jeff Gordon because he has a lot of experience in winning championships at this point. But I'll have to wait till Sunday to see if I'm correct.
 
Man...J and J are both tough. But I HAVE to say, if the "right Kurt" shows up, Kurt Busch can pull it off. He's a long shot even with a little lead , but the kid can do amazing things in a car.

He's got my vote---much as I would love to see Mark win it out of sentiment.
 
I'm going with JJ and Gordn 2nd, Kurt 3rd, Mark 4th & Jr 5th JMHO. :)
 
I voted for Jim myself. I'd like to see him win, mostly because I predicted (before the beginning of the season) that he'd win, whereas my girlfriend's dad (superfan #24) predicted Gordon would win because of the year 2004, minus the 00 makes 24. Which means Vickers next year and No one in 2006.
 
Kurt Busch by 1 point over Jimmie Johnson and 2 points over Jeff Gordon.
 
Really though, my instinct is telling me Jimmie Johnson will pull it off.
 
i voted for buschy. i'm rootin for him hard this week, although jimmie is prolly gonna pull it off
 
Busch. His task is the simplest. The others have too many variables to keep an eye on.

Barring mechanical malfunction or a kevin harvick sighting, I think it's his to lose.
 
After looking at all the scenarios involved, I think it is likely to come down to bonus points earned.

That said, I'm going with Jimmie Johnson.
 
I went with Busch. Don't matter who comes in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. They don't get the championship trophy anyway. :)
 
Bush will try to hard, and well you guys know how them Roush motors do under presser.

Jeff well be going for his 5th, and get closer for the receord braking 8th title.

Jr, will pull up in front of Edwards again.

Mark, well i dont think 6 little blue pills will help him go all the way.


So that leave Jimmy with the 2004 Nextel cup.

Since Tony is out of the running this year, I love to see Gordon win this 5th title

That's My pick also. Afterall,only Jeff Gordon has won a Championship previously among teh Top 5 in the point standings,it's called 'sperience. :beerbang: :cool:
 
I gotta go with Jeff Gordon too. Jimmie 2nd and Kurt 3rd.
I'm sorry to see this season over, seemingly so soon. I still don't like
the C4C, but I appear to be in a dwindling minority these days.
I just do not like the pressure put on the drivers. It will force someone to do something dumb or chancey at best trying to win. And it doesn't necessarily have to be one of the "front runners" do it. :eek: :rolleyes: :growl: :cool:
 
Well, I just couldn't stand it with Jr not having any votes at all!! :D Jr all the way!! :beerbang:
