Man, I have one heck of a headache this morning. I think I should take the day to rest a little while. I'll probably feel better by the afternoon. :D

Today is one of my official holidays of the year. I always take a vacation day for these races. Where are you watching or listening to these races today?

For those of you that don't already subscribe to some sort of online service..... I don't know if there is any place officially broadcasting these races today on the net but I'm pretty sure that mrn.com is doing the radio broadcast on their site.

Maybe this could help some of you out there today?

MRN and AudioNow partner up: In a first for motor sports fans around the country, Motor Racing Network and AudioNow have jointly announced a new way to access live race broadcasts simply by dialing a number from any mobile device. Across the United States, race fans can dial 1-832-999-1717 and listen to MRN race-day broadcasts, interviews and analysis, and weekly programming such as "NASCAR Live" and "NASCAR USA." Upcoming broadcast includes the Budweiser Duel and the season-opening Daytona 500 for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series on Sunday, Feb. 24. The phone number incurs no extra charges and is the equivalent of making a mobile call. As data costs continue to rise on mobile devices and "unlimited voice plans" plummet, radio-by-voice stream is emerging as one of the most affordable pathways in the United States for listeners to use when they're away from their favorite station.

Going home to the big tv with HD because the rv satellite antenna doesnt pick up HD and raceview on the pc instead of the laptop in the rv, then back up here to bambi hunt this evening. And your right TRL, RETIREMENT RULES. :D

I LOVE retirement! :D

ME TOO! My Bride and I became unofficially retired twenty-five years ago (unofficially as we were absentee owners of our business) and began traveling the entire NASCAR circuit for six years, living with two Welsh Corgis out of 36 foot motorhome. Now settled in North Carolina sans motorhome (sold it in 2001; expected diesel prices to go to the moon) and enjoying being able to go where we want, when we want.
Now the irony, I am a volunteer at a large public facility and today, for the first time in five months, we have a special meeting on safety and an active shooter. Can't miss that one! Sooooooooooo, must record the Twin 125's and watch them later.

I took the entire week off because I get so much time off. I will have a house full of racing buds by noon.

Working today, I'll catch the race tonight. But I want to monitor the race at work and we don't get MRN here. MRN used to have a text thread describing the action that I could monitor periodically but couldn't find it last year. Are there other options available?

Do any of your cable companies allow streaming over the net of your home viewing package? I can do this with both my phone and computer through Dish Network. I think that I hear DirecTV starting to advertise that they can do it. It may be worth a quick call for those that are unable to view this today.

Not sure what you mean by this. Are you talking about streaming to different devices at your IP address, or streaming out to a different IP? The term "over the net" has me a little confused. HELP, dpk!

I use dishanywhere. www.dishanywhere.com This is a service provided to me through Dish Network as a customer of theirs. I can watch my television package anywhere I have internet access. I can also watch though my Android phone. Anything that is on my DVR @ home or live television is available over the internet for me.

Not speaking for dpkimmel, but Cox Cable has an app called "Cox Anywhere" that allows you to stream most channels on my iPad (not sure about my android phone) that works pretty well. My iPad stays in the house, and I haven't really tried it anywhere else though.

I will not, however, ever say anything about loving Cox Anywhere.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Cablevision had that service for up to 4 registered devices, but I'm not sure FiOS does.

lol What a name for a product.

I use a Sling Adapter that plugs into the USB port on my Dish Network Hopper DVR system. Anything that I can watch at home I can watch over the net or on my phone. It cost me a one time fee of $49 for the adapter and there is no fee through Dish Network. My computer and phone act the same as my DVR at home.

DirecTV only has certain networks apart of that and Speed isn't one of them. I think the only live program they carry are PPV fights and UFC events.

Sitting in front of the tv. Just re calibrated the surround sound...ready to GO

No need to call in sick. I take a half-day of vacation. Next year it won't be an issue since they're moving the Duels to nighttime.

I can beat that. Mid-summer of 2011 I got the schedule mixed up and book a plane for what I THOUGHT was the weekend AFTER Homestead. I'm 20,000 feet up all afternoon while Tony and Carl went at it.

That is worse than a dental chair. That was drama all night long. Tony drove the race of his life, then lucked out when the rain put him back up front.
