Who's Going Shopping Friday?

There is a possibility that I am going shopping. It depends on how pooped I am after cooking tomorrow. This is my first Thanksgiving dinner to prepare all by myself. I am usually with my Mom for turkey day, but we couldn't get together this year. She lives in TN and I live in TX.:(

I have heard rumors, that come from a Walmart employee who shall never be named or mentioned again, that Walmart, at least here, is going to have a lot of their stuff half off. So I figure I should at least try to find out if that is true. Do some light shopping and get some good bargains. I haven't ever done the after Thanksgiving shopping thing, so I am preparing for the worst.
 
I personally refuse to go anywhere remotely close to a shopping center.....
 
As usual, I will be working tomorrow. Don't know about the rest of you, but here, one stays away from anything close to the malls because of the lousy traffic. One year, I decided to do some last minute shopping and while it was fairly easy to get to the mall, it took over an hour just to get out of the parking lot and onto the mall road that leads out of the shopping center. Sheesh. I might as well have walked.:mad:
 
I've never understood shopping that day. Sure you can get some good deals, but you have to get up at 5 AM and then wait in hor long lines at the stores. I worked retail for 6 years, people are crazy on that day. Every year we'd have a fight between two mothers fighting over the last particular toy left. Or you'd have scalpers going up and down the aisles trying to give people money to then in turn buy the gift. Not much of a sale at that point!! Regardless, if anyone here likes going that day, have fun :)
 
Nearly the entire population except me. We'll be in the big city of Anchorage for the holidays. I tried shopping there once on the day after Thanksgiving. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH

After many hours of self-psychoanalyis, I am feeling much better now. :)
 
I have to work tomorrow, so shopping is out for me. Around here we refer to this as amatuer nught at the malls. There is not enough money in Jack Roush's bank account for me to go to the malls tomorrow.:D
 
I have done all my christmas shopping online through my own business for the past two years, my shoppin is done and i got paid for it! i love it

I'm with you penskigirl................not into those maddening crowds of pushing and shoving people........just to have a couple of dollars........:)
