Wierd year for me. Nobody is really a stand out right now to me anyway. I think its gonna be a good race and anybody is in the run. I am impressed that tony has jumped into a different teams car and ran well with it so quickly. Ryan wasn't doing so bad either.
 
I'm not saying this because I'm a fan, but I've had the feeling for 2 weeks that Stewart will finally win it.
 
Mark Martin, and he'll get a well done from the guys on pit road similar to Dale Sr.

NASCAR will be the big winner as usual.

Many fans will tune in to this thing hoping to see a great race. What they will see is manufactured competition and extremely dangerous racing due to the restrictor plates. They will also see a bunch of guys trying to just avoid the "big one" and others who will also try to figure out who will help who win. Many fans will also be very disappointed that their favorite driver got caught in the inevitable "big one" or one of it's many counterparts that always happen in these plate "races'.

True, many fans will enjoy the spectacle. No doubt cheering when a hated rival gets caught up in one of the many wrecks that plague these events. Unfortunately, many of these same people would be even happier to see them just run on a "figure 8" track and just forget the pretence of it even being a "race'.

Remember when Dale won? He went nearly an entire season IIRC without a win. He'd come up short every way possible. In 1998, everyone said "Dale, this is your year."

It is time for Mark and I've gotta tell you I've never felt this excited before a race in my life.

After last year's season of suck, wouldn't it be great if Mark Martin (or anyone other than Jimmie, Carl or Kyle:rolleyes:) won?

If Mark wins on Sunday, I'll be the 2nd happiest person in the world. :whoopee:
 
Im gonna say someone people might not be thinking. Jamie Mcmurry. He is always been a good drafter and is useualy somewhere towards the front at the end but hes useualy not in position to win. He has a win at Daytona so i think he can get the job done.

I agree with you. I've got Jamie on the yahoo racing thing.
 
im saying smoke. only because we know if he and junyer can hook up nose to tail, nobody has a chance.

If all 6 hendrick cars line up....

I think rousch/yates will be the only other people that can get past the freight train, being they have 7 cars.

But Tony/Junior/Jimmie/Jeff would be the top 4 in my mind, if they can find eachother.

It's gonna be 2008 all over again. Race season hasn't started in the area yet (Hagerstown has a couple features next week) but it's already been like last year nice during the week rainy during the weekend.
 
I think the white and blue HOF, er Yates car will do it after a huge last lap crash takes out the top ten cars. :cool::cool:

well, lets just say I'll stop by Car Quest, and pick up some windshield wipers, come home and have a Pop Tart and big ole Jethro bowl of Frosted Flakes........ maybe 5 of 'em.....lol
