What driver outside the Chase is going to have the biggest impact over the final 10 races?

I'm going to go with the Jeff Gordon Revenge Tour! I think they need to start printing the shirts. I say that he will go from no wins to wining 3 over the final 10.

Gordon does drive better the madder he is. Still, he's old and I don't know if he can keep it up for 10 races.

See, the double entendre is what makes it funny.

My other pick would be Vickers. Hope he can build up some momentum in the #56.

I have a feeling Truex will have some solid runs, but all in all I expect most of the noise to be coming from the Chasers. Who knows maybe Kez gets out of his funk and goes on a run, not looking like it though.

Regarding Gordon, it's hard to say. Does he dedicate the final 12 to helping his teammates or does he start working on 2014? I am wondering it they'll replace Alan Gustafson. After the success AG had with Mark I was very optimistic but now after 2 very disappointing years of poor finishes and atrocious qualifying I'm pretty much hoping they'll get someone else.

But back to the topic, I think Truex and his team are going to be pretty fired up and ready to make some noise.

That seems to be the sentiment amongst most Gordon fans, if they turf him SHR should snap him up right away IMO.

Gordon has been on a hot streak of fast cars these past few races, but I don't know if it was just to fight into the chase. I'm sure all of the best equipment will go to his teammates. Regardless - Not gonna step away from my driver. #24 will dominate the chase so bad NASCAR will have to put him in by Talledega ;)

I think that Montoya could surprise people and be a dark horse in that role.

I agree. The 24.

I think he'll have something to prove after going from champion one year, to missing the chase the next.

Hah! I laughed at the double entendre before I saw the next sentence. :D And then I laughed again.

I was thinking the same thing, and he has picked it up the last couple of races. I think he and Paul will go all out to deny wins to Logano's competition, and if their risky strategies pay off, he could be a big part of how the championship is decided.

I'll also be watching to see if he gives Kyle half the cheap racing Kyle threw at him last year. That could get interesting, seeing how Kyle still avoids saying his name in public.

Mark Martin...going to do all he can to help Newman move up in the chase. the #10 should start to improve a little bit with MM setting up the car for her.
