I never got to go to a race before the change, but saw some races on TV with the old layout. Honestly, even has a 1.5 track, Atlanta has had, and can still have some really good races. I'm sad it only has one date now, and really sad it's during a cold cold part of the year so it's less likely I can ever really go.
They do for meAtlanta doesn't have "cold cold" parts of the year.
Relatively speaking, no. LOLAtlanta doesn't have "cold cold" parts of the year.
Not sure if it's still in effect, but when I went to Atlanta last year they had a "perfect weather guarantee", if it rained or if the high temp was less than 50 degrees the day of the race, you could exchange your ticket for a ticket to a future event at the speedway. Fortunately for us, it was sunny and about 65 that day.Relatively speaking, no. LOL
But I attended one of the last November races and sat in 25* ---- for this Texan, that's cold cold.

I remember back in '93 as well when the spring Atlanta race got snowed out. They ran it the following Saturday, when Morgan Shepherd got his final Cup win.It did one year as my buddies got stuck in a snowstorm coming back from Florida!
