Why do people campout for a movie?

I saw all those people who had been camping out for the Twilight "movie" for several days. Why do they do that? Don't they know that movie will be showing for at least a month? They act like they have to see it the first night or something:rolleyes:
 
how else do you get a teenage girl to camp:rolleyes:
 
believe it or not kk i know some teenage girls that love to camp and do it as often as possible. better watch what you say around them. these gals shoot firearms also. <g>

I have no idea why people will do these things. Guess they have nothing else to do.

Maybe it's bragging rights or something.
 
It ain't just for movies. They just opened up a new Chick-Fil-A here in Winston Salem and there were hundreds camped out in the parking lot to be one of the first 100 people in the store. Of course they get a years worth of meals with that. Also, I guess this is a tradition with Chick-Fil-A. :rolleyes:
 
Waiting overnight on a sidewalk for anything. iPhone, movies, free Chic-File-a sammich, Black Friday, almost anything, just is nuts. I just don't get it.

Especially a movie! I mean, like Stewart Fan says....it's gonna be in theaters for a while folks....
 
The alternative for most of these losers is just another night spent in their parents basements, so it kinda makes sense.

It might also be some kind of geek mating ritual. If so, it must be stopped immediately. These people CAN NOT be allowed to reproduce!!!

It's amazing what unemployed people will do. I guess campong out for a movie (how much are tickets for such a monie anyway?) beats looking for a job.

i happen to know 2 weeks ago I paid 18 bucks for 2 tickets to Toy Story 3
