Why I have never eaten at Sonic

Carl Jrs, and Hardees deserve the buisness for the talented actress that did their car washing themed commercials.

I've only eaten there a couple of times, but it appears that their commercials are as bad as their food. That Laurel and Hardy act is terrible.

Sonics is a place with delicious burgers and fries and shakes and I commend everybody who eats there.

No Sonics near me. For a fast food burger, it's hard to beat Fatburger. I tried Five Guys and was disappointed.

Love 5 Guys burgers and fries. Problem I have with Sonic is the patties are (or at least were the last time I had one) so damn thin. Lotsa bun, little meat. My favorite thing about Sonic is the crushed ice you get in your drink.

I love Sonic. Haven't gone in a while, but my grandparents used to take us there all the time.

We don't have a Sonic here in the Akron area. They are in Cleveland, so they run their commercials on tv here though. The commercials are pretty stupid, but some of the food looks good. I would definitely try it if it were close enough.

Then there's In'n'Out....
Like Fatburger, that's another West Coast chain.

When I used to go to Las Vegas for work during CES, I tried to make it to the In'n'Out in Vegas, which I believe is the eastern-most one they have. It's in a crappy location (for tourists/business travelers). It was good, but the lines are killer.

They expanded out. We have at least 5 in DFW.

Fatburger has franchises in about 10 different U.S. states.
International...Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Asia, Africa...

Another thing I like about Fatburger is they have homemade onion rings.
You also have the option of having your burger fried on a flat top or char-grilled.

sonic....decades ago...when i had iron stomach...favorite was 2 foot long chili dogs w/ cheese / onions !

Used to be a place called Burger Box in Arlington.Biggest burgers Ive ever had.And economical too.Haven't eaten at Sonic since Arlington, about 27 years ago. The nearest Sonic up here is Hartford.....Too far for a burger.

A local country cafe near the hunting camp that's been here since the invention of the automobile with the same family running it has the original flattop grill and I'm not sure if It's ever been cleaned and the hand formed, butcher fresh never frozen, half pound burgers with all of the fixin's with grease drippin out and running down your forearms have to be some of the best on the planet but from three feet away your arteries will start hardening. And the fresh hand cut fries are still cooked in the same cast iron pot on the gas stove, delicious.

Absolutely love Sonic's tater tots, and they have good shakes. The rest of their food is average.

Cookout has like 80 flavors of shakes. Every time I go to Motor Mile Speedway, I go there after the race. Only place that beats the quality for the price is Texas Tavern in Roanoke (look it up).

Honestly, the shakes are the only thing worth a damn at Cookout. I personally think their burgers and BBQ suck.

The Out West Burger and Cajun Fries are great. Still, I can get a burger, two fries and a large drink for less than what it would cost to get a burger at McDonalds.

Now, Texas Tavern, that place is great. It's the greatest little **** hole in Virginia.

When you said Roanoke, I thought you meant the Roanoke in Texas for a minute. A place called "Texas Tavern" seems like it would belong in Texas rather than Virginia.

Texas and Virginia sure share a lot of city names: Arlington, Roanoke, Midlothian, etc...

One here in Canton if you are ever down that way.

I have a few sonics and a lot of In&Out burgers all around me and i love both of them...but when i want a great double cheeseburger or chicken sandwich, i have to go to the Salty Dawg Tavern here in Orange. Plus, having sexy girls wearing very little bringing it to me doesn't hurt either. I think Greg would love this place.;)

They have been around here in Oklahoma and Arkansas as long as I can remember. The latest commercials for the last couple of years have been that style for some reason. Before that it was kinda a nostalgia theme. They usually had classic convertible cars in the commercial. They are in every little town around here and they put the local small town drive in restaurants out of business with cleaner places and good food and service.

Sonic Drive-In is an American drive-in fast-food restaurant chain based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As of August 31, 2011, there were 3,561 restaurants in 43 U.S. states, serving approximately 3 million customers per day.
