Why is M&M's continuing their association with KB?

Not as threat for the title, but he's won 2 out of 14 Cup races, & made alot of controversy/comedy... Got a nine dollar bag of the new diet M&Ms now... ok pretzel M&Ms...lol...

The amount of free press that M&M's get for their dollar is unbelievable. Love him or hate him, people talk about him.

I still wouldnt be shocked to see Mars go somewhere and for NOS to take over as the primary on the #18.

NOS is certainly a better fit for his personality but I'm not sure that Mars is complaining.

My guess is that the suits at M&M/Mars figured that a big brat would appeal to little brats.

Until the bean counters can show he's more of a liability than a asset they'll stay with him. As already stated 'money talks'.

And my guess is, M&M/MARS is a good company with full knowledge of what they are doing and who they are supporting. And it isn't merely juveniles they seek as customers.

It is doubtful many people would stop buying M&M/MARS products because they dislike Kyle Busch and his antics any more than those who enjoy Reese's Peanut Butter Cups based on Kevin Harvick's actions. If Busch continues on the path of reckless endangerment (excessive high speed, etc) that presents a different tale but one offense followed by a sincere apology seems to have worked the first time. There's no guarantee of Kyle's chances if something similar were to take place a second time.

I agree with with you. I even buy M&M's. :)

Who could not love m&m's? I have the fridge in the truck and the fridge in the lounge of the racecar hauler stocked with m&m's all the time. I wouldn't care if PeeWee Herman was driving the #18 car, I love m&m's. I'm not going to buy or not buy a product because of a racecar drivers behavior. What that driver does on or off the track is not going to effect me at all, unless I was working on that team.:)

KB signed a multi-year extension with JGR back in Jan 2010....M&M's signed a multi-year extension with JGR back in March 2011...they are locked in together, unless an ethics clause or something like that is breached.....

I wonder how long Joey's contract is for? If they replace him, who do you think they will put in the car? Another rookie or a veteran?

I overheard these two while I was at Pocono.
Mark: '' Do you think Kevin eats the plain or peanut M&M's?''
Dale: ''Plain, Delana already has the nuts''
