http://www.nascar.com/races/cup/2008/data/standings_official.htmlThen why is he going to HMS?
Is that what we go on, wrecks and DNFs?How many times this year has Jr wrecked? How many times has Burton wrecked
Hendrick Motorsports didn't cause Junyer to wreck. How many times this year has Jr wrecked? How many times has Burton wrecked
Loudon shouldn't have happened. McMurray's spotter needs a for that.4 wrecks and none of them was his fault, 1 of them should'nt of happend and the rest wrong place wrong time.

And Loudon was his fault. He slowed up on the racetrack. Watch the damn video
Hey, this was my thread for myabout Mark, Jr had nothing to do with it.
I did watch the video. Junyer got on the apron to pit. He was slowing down so he could meet the pit road speed limit. McMurray plowed into him, and even admitted he wasn't paying attention. And Loudon was his fault. He slowed up on the racetrack. Watch the damn video
You tell 'em Kelloggs!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, so you want Mark to run, but ummm.... your handle is kelloggs5TLfan.... So my question is this? Didn't Terry drive for Hendrick then?

You'd blame Junyer for the Oklahoma City bombing if you could, wouldn't you?For those who need to watch the video...
Earnhardt Jr. wreck at Loudon
But then to me the video is not conclusive. Look at the 59 second mark. It looks like Lil'E is still above the line with the commitment cone fast approaching. But, then we hear Petty say he was below the line and pitting.
Also who was in the yellow/black car that almost clipped Lil'E? 56 second mark. So it looks like they didn't know either.
I suppose the difference could be, did Lil'E signal that he was going to pit that lap?
Wait, was someone talking? Lost my train of thought there....
I dunno, some people think Jr is the breast...uh.. i mean best driver out there, and some people don't. But Loudon is a nice rack...i mean nice track.
Maybe he actually wants to win races.

Sucks, don't it?I guess your precious 5 will have someone you like in it again. LOL. Maybe you could be Kelloggs5mmfan. I hope nobody thinks that is m and m's for you know who that used to drive the 5 car.
Yes, Terry did. I thought I would never have to pull for another Hendrick car. I always pull for the driver not the team owner or make. I'm usually not a whiner. Thought I would just get it over with and move on. (if I can)
Thank you all for trying to understand.
I'm just wondering if he really wanted to retire when he first came out with that idea. And something else to think about...Mark was with Roush for so long and was his anchor driver. Mark was great with Jack, but was never able to take the title, coming up the brides maid more than once. Jack then brings on a new car with no real success, then brings in another car, again with Mark being the top dog, but not on top. Finally Jack brings in a couple more teams and with Matt Kenseth, Roush finally has a champ. Mark is still considered the anchor of that garage, but when the next Roush driver wins the title, it appears that Mark is no longer the top dog in the Roush garages. I believe that Mark felt that he was no longer getting what he needed and that Jack was putting more and more attention towards the other drivers. Quite possibly, either Jack or Mark mentioned retirement and that began his exudus from the Ford camp. Mark always had nothing but good things to say about his team, car and owner and now that he's driving for another owner and a different model, he's said on more than one occasion that this car is the best car he's ever driven. Ever? That just sounds like sour grapes to me and even if he really meant it, his results haven't been any better. It's my opinion that Jack Roush was just ready to move on from Mark but Mark was not really ready to retire. And now that his son Matt has lost interest in racing, Mark doesn't have to be home or on the road with him tudoring him.
Just a few thoughts on Mark.
If he would have been fast enough he wouldn't have gotten wrecked.
Maybe he actually wants to win races.
Then he aught to go talk to Kyle at Joe Gibbs Racing!!! LOL Duane
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!! LOL You do whatever you need to do.
I agree, TRL.You know what, I really don't care what Mark does. If he wants to drive, fine. If he wants a partial season, fine.
I feel that he has earned the right to do as he damned well pleases. What the public thinks would be right for him to do, has no place in his decision.

No. If Jeff would've been willing to race like Ky would've raced him, he would've won.If Jeff would of been fast enough he would of won the 1st COT race....
I believe in racing others the way you want to be raced. If I'm Jeff Burton and it's Mark Martin in front of me, well, I know Mark ain't gonna intentionally turn someone to win a race. If he would do that, Mark would have a Daytona 500 victory. But, if I was racing Skurt or Wild Thing (or even Steve Wallace or Brad Keselowski, to be fair), I'd make a special exception and remember that they'll wreck someone for the win anyday and I'd go right ahead and lay my bumper to them.
