For the Cup series. Again the other 36 cars have no reason to even be out there, it's pathetic.

The NFL doesn't end this season by having teams who have already been eliminated playing.

Split it up and having a doubleheader on Championship Sunday. Do a 150 lap $1 million winner take all first for the other 36 drivers. Something for them to really compete for. Then have a 200 lap feature with only the Championship 4 Drivers. Fans get more action and the drivers actually have a reason to be there.

Same “author” ..

And it's still a better idea than the pathetic show we have at Phoenix each year. And you know what, I'll bring it up next year too.

Nobody wants to watch only 4 cars.

They have every reason to be out there. They're still competing for final points positions, although the Gerbils will never acknowledge that.

Surely you must be joking. A race with only 4 cars in it?

a race with 4 cars in it? come on man, nobody wants to see that.
when i read the title i thot OP meant xfinity and cup championship races on the same day lol.

Again have the first race be the other 36 cars with something to truly fight for, not just point positions. Again make it $1 million winner take all. Heck make it $5 million winner take all if you want. Give the other 36 drivers a real reason to just for it the final race of the season. Do that for 200 laps. Then have the Championship Race which would have the 4 cars for 200 laps. So 2 races for the price of 1 and you still see all 40 drivers, just in 2 different races.

It also makes the Championship race pure. None of the other drivers getting in the way, just how Nascar likes it.

They all have teammates. Single car teams rarely make it. We could fix that somewhat by allowing them to all have one teammate to block for them, making it 8 cars. If a teammate isn't available then someone from the same manufacturer may be substituted.
:D:D:p:cool:

I interpreted it as a double-header finale to determine who will win the championship, full field included.

4 cars for 200 laps.

We’re having a circle jerk over this “idea”? Goodness.
No, that's a ****can idea from the off. I would have been able to take him a bit more seriously if my initial thoughts from reading the title were what he actually meant.

Have the 3 series race 4 vehicles each in the same race on the same day. 300 laps at Bristol ,at night. Winner take all in each series.

Brilliant idea.

Twelve cars on the track, four from each of the three series, and if someone gets in the way of somebody else that's racing for a championship it can only be someone that's also racing for a championship, albeit it may be a different championship.

Three different champions crowned after one race with post race burn-outs galore.

Can we have the trucks run clockwise?

Thank you. Hopefully that slap will return me to sanity, or at least as close as I normally come of it.
