You know there are a lot of pictures and stuff I could post about the NFL durhards as well. You don't see those pictures being circulated saying all NFL fans are durhards. :rolleyes:
 
Hmm. I've heard a lot of people say that they miss the rough 'n tumble "good old days" of NASCAR when it was largely confined to its Southern roots and how much they despise the clean cut "new generation" of NASACAR driver. Ya can't have it both ways.

Bad thing is, they might start thinking we're a bunch of 5 year olds watching Digger cartoons. The new joke will be, "I was watching a cartoon and a race broke out".

That cartoon thing and the idea behind it is so sad. Remember when Fireball Roberts meeting with a scout troop at Darlington and Richard Petty staying till the last kid got an autograph was the way racing brought in the kids and "grew the next generation of fans"?
 
Probably of the minority but I like digger. My little one loves to watch the animated cartoons each week. As far as stereo types it is fairly simple to attend a race and find many "folk" that lack hygiene, teeth, sunblock, and or a vocabulary. While they do not make up a majority of the fans it is enough to show that this sport attracts them.
 
You'll find those types at any football game, hockey game, etc. They always show those idiots in the freezing cold all painted up with the team colors and no shirts at football games. To me, "redneck" is a joke regarding NASCAR. No one really means it. We have worse fans at Bills games than we had last summer at the NASCAR races. Hell, the crowd was almost "polite" dare I say?!! LOL

Except for the major booos for Rowdy and a few others, they were all so respectful with the invocation, National Anthem, and after the race, everyone clapped for ALL of the drivers on their cool-down lap. There was only ONE obnoxious guy near us and it was just that he wouldn't move his stuff or himself when people were trying to get through to get out or come back in during the race.

I say - don't get your panties in a twist about it... most people don't even mean it when they say redneck.
