Wicked picture of the hurricane

This is a big mama. Was a cat. 5 largest you can get. Now a cat. 4. May still be a 4 when it makes land fall. Look out East Coast.

That's one MEAN looking storm! Let Us PRAY that it changes it's direction!

The eye of that baby is 60 miles wide and she's packing sustained winds of 155 mph. Gonna be a b%$@h when she gets here.

Man, that looks bad, I sure hope everyone in it's path makes it out without any bodily harm or substantial damage

Bucky, I had the same impulse.

Hurricanes are the main reason I moved out of Houston. I just couldn't stand the thought of going through another 'cane season.

No, bowtie. My hubby decided that Palestine, Texas was heaven. He's lived up here on our property for 4 years ---- his job transferred him up here.

I got tired of living in Houston and having to care for the yard and house by myself.

I went through TS Allison alone --- we lived in the part of Harris County that received 30 inches of rain that night. Last year I packed the car twice when it looked like we were going to be hit.

I just didn't want to face it anymore.

I know living by the ocean coast and area near there must be amazing but i'll tell you, I couldn't do it. Worrying every year if my house is going to be there or not, or water 3 feet deep in it. Not for me.

Seems that at the moment Isabel has been down rated to a class 3. Some deteriation of the eyewalls also.

Still a big storm and might gain a bit of strength back before making landfall. Landfall is predicted to be approx 2 PM Thursday in the Northern portion of North Carolina.

No matter how this plays out there is going to be an aweful lot of damage. I just hope the death toll will be microscopic or even non-existent.
