My wife's surgery is finally today. It's scheduled for 12:00 to 12:30. We have to leave here in about a half an hour. She is only getting her gall bladder out today. The insurance company said they had to delay the complete hysterectomy the doctor's wanted to do at the same time. She's a little nervous, but happy to be getting it done. Hopefully she will be able to keep food down and have a lot less pain than she has as of now.

My thoughts and prayers will be with your wife and you today.

BenOne --- had my gallbladder out in July ---- only problems I had afterward were self-induced. Tell her Lean Cuisine is a good friend during recovery.

All OK Ben One?

My wife had hers out too, what is it with wimmenz and gall bladders anyway???

TRL is right, IIRC my wife was told she'd have a "tender stomach" for a while. Few months later she was great. Almost 30 years later no problems at all.

Thank all. Everything went about as well as could have been expected. The surgeon told me she had several small stones and that she should feel much better after this heals. She is pretty sore, but it helps that I had the same surgery almost exactly 18 months ago so I can tell her what is normal and what to expect. She is pretty tough too. I've seen her get several tattoos and I've seen her give birth three times. Trust me, she is much tougher than I am and I am no lightweight.
