Feel free to post anyone else you think might make the chase thats not in the top 10 or not in the top 10 and make the chase.

I would love to see Kasey make the Chase at the expense of the current #10 participant. However, I feel that if that happened we would see the rules change to make darn sure that never happened again.
NASCAR would probably pass a rule that all teams whose car # began with an 8 and ended with an 8 and only had 1 digit would automatically be in the Chase regardless of their points position... ;)

Odd that he missed it last year then

nope..i dont think so..time kinda ram out for him.

last week he only gaine like 5 points on dale jr so i dont think he will unless dale and the others have massive bad luck

Altho I really like Kasey, I kinda doubt that Evernham will support him the way he should......read ERIN.......

Hmmmm, I see there are more of you that don't think he'll make it than will. Tis okay, and you can throw in the Ray and Erin stuff all you want. Kasey is going to three tracks that he's been very good at and all he needs to do is do what he has been doing. The rest will fall in line. Of course, he'll need some help from those above him, and it isn't necessarily Jr. that he'll have to beat. It doesn't take but something like what happened to Jeff Burton to fall totally out of the top ten, as what happened to Kasey. I think that he's a lock for the chase, but then again, I'm pretty biased. :)

Well, I'm not biased :) and I believe kahne will make the chase. Probably Hamlin will falter.

I'll say that although i am a huge Kasey fan i really don't think he will make it. Jr will have to have some major bad luck, also if the 3 or 4 races before are any indicator, Kasey seems to choke under pressure ( Indy, Watkins Glen come to mind). I hope he proves me wrong though, he has a lot of talent he just needs to mature another year in my opinion.

Mopar, don't put all the eggs in Earnhardt's basket. The last five guys in the chase at the present are all going to have to have good races to stay in the top ten. One slip from any of them and they could be on the outside looking in for the next race. As far as Kasey choking under presure, I'm sorry that you think that after a couple of incidents. I think that the last race was just the ticket for him to get back into the groove of things. I don't think that he will be just racing for points, but I still think that he will take care of his car and not take any chances.

Biffle ,Edwards ,and Busch will all likely finish richmond with more points than Kahne. I feel someone from 7-10 will falter more than once & Biffle will get in.

I hope you are right Buck, if he maintains the attitude he seemed to have last race....there would be a good chance i think. I think it was you who said in another thread that Kasey was much more focused at the begining of the season. If he can get back to that he will have a better chance to make the Chase. After meeting the kid in Vegas in 2005, i became even a bigger fan. He is really humble, genuine, and approachable....a real nice kid who i think will be a Champion in a few years.

I think he will, Anyhting can happen at bristol this week. Jeff burton probably won't make it. I really hope he does cause he deserves it. Now that kenseth and Johnson are in hopefully they will have a few dnfs so maybe 12 guys can make it. I wouldn'y be surprised to see them get spun a few times.

I think Kasey has the focus... He's just had a couple last lap incidents that dropped him back. As far as Evernham and Crocker...... who really gives a rip.

just because he had that one incident at michigan doesn't mean he wont make it..its stupid to think that..if i may remind you, he had a mechanical problem..nothing they could have fix..anyways i think he will :)

Reck, that's the problem with all of them, just one mechanical problem and that's it. I'd love to see Jeff make the chase, as I do with Happy Harvick.

It will be really fun to watch these last three races, and of course, this next one will be the most fun for most of us, regardless of who gets in the chase. Someone is going to have his feathers ruffled and if it's one of the boys in the top ten, they will still have another couple of races to make it up.
