I voted Yes.Rusty knows this is his best shot to win and he not gonna blow it. Go Rusty! Break that Streak!

i would like nothing more than to see rusty give Jeff the bump and run to win, just don't see it happening, the 2 team have to many problems right now. i think commuitation(sp) is killing them.

I vote no, I think Rusty is trying to hard and he knows this is his best shot and he will overdrive the car.

Sorry, RustyFan4Ever, but I don't see it happening. Rusty has been good at the beginning of the races, but he has fallen off mid-way to the end, not to mention making some boneheaded moves (i.e. Jr. )

I voted yes, this is IMO Rusty's best chance at getting a win & ending that 85 race winless streak,I do think that Jeff Gordon will be right there at the end also, could be an exciting finish.U gotta love the beating & banging of a short track race!
Funny that We don't seem to hear that much about Rusty's,Terry Labonte's or Jeff Burton's winless streaks, even though They have had a longer dry spell than Jeff Gordon in 2001-02 seasons when Jeff had a 31 race winless streak & that's about all We heard about each week, sigh,is it just that Nobody really expects as much from any other driver in the series?Just wondering? ;)

I had to vote no. Rusty runs pretty good at Bristol but it's not gonna be his night.

I have to agree, the competition is alot harder these days. Rusty will lead a lot of laps but between the start of the race and the time the checkered flag waves, anything could happen. It's Bristol Baby !!!

I said no. You gotta be both lucky and good to win at Bristol and Rusty hasn't been lucky in a long time.

With Kurt Busch out of the picture (get the joke?) and Jeff Gordon having a horrible August, then I think Bristol will be open season for anyone.

mmm.... NO, I am with Racerx11 Don't see Rusty win again.

Rusty won't win another race...He is the new Dave Marcis, mobile chicane.
Rusty will continue to pull bone headed moves like the one at MIS with Jr.
Give him another year and he will be racing against Petty for 40th spot.

Did anybody not catch this? If I hear one more freakin time about Rusty's winless streak I am going to :bleh: I am so sick and tired of Crusty getting face time and being asked if this is the week he ends his winless streak. He ALWAYS has a "fast hot rod" every freakin week and something always seems to happen. Alot of his problems is that he is old school and tends to micro manage the team which gets them behind the Eight ball late in the race. I'd bet that he is just chomping at the bit everytime Ryan wins.

I hate when he says that it drives me absolutely nuts!!!!

Rusty'll probably make another asshat move this weekend, I can sense it coming.

Read this about Sam Hornish at Indystar.com

Speculation on Hornish's future now centers on Team Penske and Ganassi Racing, both of which participate in the IRL and NASCAR. Hornish said a decision will come by the end of the month.

Hornish may spend a year racing with Team Penske in the IRL before moving to Winston Cup to replace Rusty Wallace.

Gee, you think Roger thinks Rusty can win another one.

I think Roger realizes that Ryan Newman is his new pet project.

I agree that rusty has made alot of bad calls this year inculding the jr thing at michigan but to say he never win again is kinda stupid.I remember 1997 rusty could not do anything right alot of blown engines and had problems finishing in the top 10 but a year later in 98 rusty was back started 98 off like it was gonna be a championship season with 7 stright top 5s or whatever did'n win the cup finish 4th in points but alot better than the slump of 1997.2003 to me is alot like 1997 so i'm not worried rusty went thru this before and come back next season kicking ass.

I am kinda skepitcal about Rusty ever since that incident with Dale Jr. at Michigan, but despite the things theyve went through this season, I think the 2 team might be in victory lane at least once before the years done.

Rustys days of winning are over. He won't win another. Hes had plenty of opportunities and his teamates won 5 races.

I dont think so, and no offence but I dont think he will win much more before he retires either.

Just popping in and felt the need to respond to some of these "opinions" Do I think Rusty will win again? Yes. Hornish replaceing Wallace, not until after 2005, when his contract is up. Boneheaded move at Michigan, not entirly his, the guy on top of the pit box and spotter should have been on the ball. Nuff said.

Yeah, I'm okay, it's just been nuts busy at work and I have been doing a LOT of driving the past couple of weeks for court and everything. I think I have logged a little over 4k miles just on the weekends so it's been tough to sit down in front of a computer for any amount. On top of everything it I have a little over three weeks to "child proof" my house. I've been batchin' it for so long my place isn't really set up for a three year old. Tomorrow is his birthday so I get to drive again for the party. Should be a good time though.

Gotta run

Later

I think that Rusty will win again, but he has seemed to be snake bit a little. I thought they said on TV that he is starting to adapt to the new setups that Ryan uses so if so I hope he will finally get back.

I dont think that Rusty will win this one...I see a younger one winning this one.

Sorry, don't think it will happen.

I think Rusty has fallen into the "needs a miracle win" category. A lot of guys who don't deserve a W get one becuase of crazy circumstances, but I wouldn't bet my money on them. This of course means he could win...but it would take, well you know....

To hear Rusty and Bill W on the scanner at the tracks it seems to me they have issues and they need to reolve before thinking about the next win. Rusty has a tendency to talk Bill W out of things and then gets warm and sometimes hot about the deal.I would like to see him win but don't think so.

Hes had plenty of opportunities and his teamates won 5 races.
Ryan Newman is the ONLY Dodge driver to have won any races this year.

Rusty's not the only driver to have had opportunities to win this season, only to not capitalize on it. There are 15-20 drivers capable of winning any given race, so missing an adjustment by the slightest fraction can be the difference between 1st and 12th.

Just because Rusty hasn't won in a long time, doesn't mean that he's washed up. People were saying for all of 2001 and 2002 - and the first 1/3 of this year - that Terry Labonte was washed up and needed to retire. Guess what? He's now having his best season since 1999, and is a mere 152 points out of 10th. One subpar season does not equate to a collapse. Remember Ricky Rudd before he joined RYR?

In short, will Rusty win tomorrow night? It's not a given, but I wouldn't count him out. Will he win before the end of the season? I certainly believe so.
