There's another interesting question. Nothing was said, so I assume since it's a caution then a lucky dog will still be handed out. They're given out now after scheduled competition cautions.

also they sai dpit road will be closed with 5 laps to go before segment ends. So if someone pits with a flat tire what will the penalty be?

Again, I assume the existing rules will still apply - if you come in when pit road is closed, you'll go to the end of the longest line for the restart.

If they didn't specifically say something would change, assume it remains the same.

This subject was just mentioned on the NASCAR Radio channel and they said exactly what you said.

I think by race day the segment break will not give you a lucky dog. Having said that, why not? Your still racing to be the first car a lap down which is what we want to see...cars racing I mean.
