Country music star and Texas native Willie Nelson, 79, cancelled a fund-raiser performance in Colorado, the Denver Post reported.
Nelson was suffering from a health problems, according to several sources.
"I was told Willie woke up and had trouble breathing, so he was taken to the hospital," said Fred Bartlit, who was hosting the fund-raiser called Lulu's Barkin' BBQ.
Nelson is schedule to appear at Dallas’ House of Blues on Tuesday. He appeared at a Fourth of July picnic at Billy Bob’s Texas and Rodeo Plaza in Fort Worth.

A representative for Willie Nelson says the country music legend is feeling better after canceling a weekend performance and will be back on the road again.
The 79-year-old Nelson was scheduled to perform Saturday at a private home in Castle Pines Village, Colo. The benefit was for Denver Dumb Friends League, a group that provides animal care and shelter in the Denver area.
An announcement to the crowd said Nelson suffered "from breathing problems due to the high altitude and emphysema" and taken to a nearby hospital.
The host of the fundraiser, Fred Bartlit, told The Denver Post that he was informed that Nelson was taken to the hospital after having trouble breathing.
But Elaine Shock said Monday that Nelson was not hospitalized and no other concerts will be canceled. His next performance is scheduled Tuesday in Dallas.
Back in July, Nelson talked exclusively one-on-one with NBC 5 DFW as he prepared for his annual Fourth of July picnic at Billy Bob's in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
Nelson told NBC 5's Scott Gordon he probably will never retire. "I still enjoy coming out and playing music and as long as the people enjoy it and come see us, I see no reason to quit," Nelson said.
