Just wondering if this still holds true in todays world.

My favourite driver (T Labonte) drives a Chevy but I drive a Pontiac and almost bought a Dodge.

Do you take your drivers ride into consideration when looking for a new car?

I would like to consider a Chevy -- since my favs all drive the bowtie --- but, since GM doesn't produce anything to compare with my Lincoln Town Car, I'll stick with it.

All my favorite drivers are chevy, but I've never owned one....so I guess not.

But I am looking at that new Chevy car / suv thingy...can't think of the name right off hand... (competes with the Honda Element)

HHR?

That's the one...knew it was just letters...

Looks pretty fun, but will have to drive one first.

With the way gas prices have gone, fuel mileage is more important to me now.

My favorite driver is in a Dodge. I use to work for GM. I drive a Nissan. Product loyalty doesn't exist at my house.

Nope. Tony drives a Chevy and they scare mem to death as does a Ford. Actually about 5 years ago I went to all Toyotas again due to thier quality, however, just this past weekend I traded my 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4-door truck in for a 2006 Hyundai Sonata so now we will see if that was smart or a mistake.

My favorites drive Chevs, Fords, Dodges. I drive a Honda and a Subaru. :)

And even with Goodyear's disastrous race program, I have a set on one of my cars.

So do Sunday's performances affect my buying habits? Not at all. With the exception that I wouldn't be caught dead at a NAPA store.

Ha, it affects me a little, I guess. Jimmie Johnson drives a Chevy and I drive a Silverado, so yeah. But, I would buy a Toyota anyday of the week. The Silverado is getting a makeover for 2007, and I'm gonna try to be one of the first to get one here in the small town of Swainsboro.

I LOVE that Silverado, but am sticking with my 10 year old Nissan 240SX with less than 30,000 miles.
My daughter is hunting for a good used vehicle right now after driving her Toyota truck for over 250,000 miles! Maybe an Exterra but she covets a Nissan 350ZX

No not at all. I'm a fan of a driver not a car. I may go to Ford tomorrow and ask to test drive the 850hp Ford Taurus. LOL.....
