Winning a cup

I have herd anouncers, ex racecar drivers, current drivers, and just plain fan critics say nascar is more about the car then the driver.

Also good luck has had alot to do with matts season this year it seems everytime he ends up towards the back of the pack, drivers in front of him seem to get involved in things. when he has flats or car problems he gets a caution when he needs it, and lots of other things.

Dont forget about skill, getting through that traffic when your competition is catching you at the end of the race, or letting off the gas a little to save that gas when your crew cheif tells you your a half a lap short of making it to the checkered.

Good pit crew to get you out there starting out front with the new tires.

Nascars help. This was just included for the fans who say nascar gave that penalty to mark so he wouldnt win the cup, and there really was no reason for the penalty.

I say the way its been this years its the crew!
Who has the best crew in NASCAR the past couple years, The same guy who is running away with the title this year! If he had a bad crew and he never got out of the pits in the front then someone eles would be leading the points now! YEs Matt has alot of skill and he can drive a car, and is in good equpiment but the crew is waht puts it over the top!

Actually the crew hasn't been making stops as fast as they have the past few years. And I think that is one of the differences from this year to last. Haven't had any problems with missing lug nuts, running over hoses, etc. Another thing that hasn't happened this year is the mechanical problems. Also, I think the driver has a lot of skill, he rarely starts the race in the top 10, but moves his way up there by the end. Crew chief gets an atta boy for setting the car up the way Matt likes it. The spotter should get an atta boy too for keeping him out of trouble on the track. And at Bristol, Luck gets an atta boy!
