World's Tallest NASCAR Winston Cup Series Souvenir To Be Auctioned Off during Nov. 28 Souvenir Blow-Out: Race fans will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to purchase the world's tallest piece of NASCAR Winston Cup Series memorabilia during the annual Souvenir Blow-Out Friday, Nov. 28, at Lowe's Motor Speedway. With NEXTEL taking over as the sponsor of stock car racing's premier series next year, Lowe's Motor Speedway will auction off a four-story, red-and-white Winston Cup Series banner that has hung near the track's main entrance during recent years. The banner, measuring 40 feet tall by 10 feet wide, will be auctioned off along with other select NASCAR Winston Cup Series memorabilia beginning at 10:30 a.m. All proceeds will benefit Speedway Children's Charities. The day-after-Thanksgiving Souvenir Blow-Out allows shoppers with race fans on their holiday lists to find the ultimate gifts and stocking stuffers at unbeatable prices, some as low as $1. In addition to merchandise from the track's gift shop, many NASCAR team souvenir rigs will line the track's front entrance offering drastically reduced prices on a wide variety of memorabilia, including hats, T-shirts, posters and die-cast cars. More than two dozen vendors featuring merchandise from drivers such as Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. are expected to participate. The event will also feature renowned NASCAR artist Sam Bass signing autographs from 9 to 11 a.m.

Considering I only live 8 Miles from the track >>>>>>>>> I went last year! I didn't see any closout items. Just a handful of trailors were there as well! It was an awful cold day for NC! Maybe 25 or 30 degrees that day. All the team trucks had products at full price! Heck, I could run down to Concord Mills and find much better deals!

If you spend 50 dollars you can take your personal vehicle out on the track! What a deal that is!!!!

Not sure If I am going this year or not. Might stop in for a few minutes and take a look. Maybe the weather will be better and more will be happening!

But Flyboy, the is the FINAL WINSTON CUP Auction and I bet you could find something you really would like to have as a souvenier!

I'm going to be there it is only a couple of hours from me and if you spend $50.00 you can do two laps in your own vehicle around Lowes Motor Speedway. Now I now to get rid of the minivan in the next week. B)

A subaru WRX works real well on the track!!!

Cat >>> Hopefully the weather will be better this year and maybe more people will come out and your right there will be more stuff to auction off. Lowes had Winston Banners all over the darn place!!

Who cares about the weather?! Remember, this is the end on an era!
Whiteflaglap, wanna borrow my 240sx?

Flyboy, it's Kat ;)

I'd like to take the ol' '71 Camino out there for a spin.

Kat ........ better weather is always a good thing! I moved south from PA for a reason and the last two winters here have totally sucked!!! LOL

Fully fuled yes, Tune up... Think about that one. Nascar auction + money= none after auction. Wouldn't be able to afford it.

OK, if you say so.....BUT, I'd give you $ to get me some Jeff Gordon goodies ;)

We just came back from Lowes Motor Speedway! This year was somewhat better than last. Sam Bass was there autographing posters and prints. There were some deals to be found! I ended up buying a Kyle Busch Die cast car for 15 bucks! As far as the Winston Auction....... we didn't get involved with that >> I guess you had to sign up at the track souvenir shop!

We also went over to the Sam Bass Studio and also Action Performance shops! Sam Bass is an awesome artist >> No doubt about it!! You can spend some serious money in that place!
