We are gong to the truck and Nationwide race. We'll be camping there, right at the front gate. Talk about party central. Come join us.
Went to the first Busch race there and the second one as well. Had a great time and did some pretty hard tail gating at that time. Got to meet some online friends for the first time too. Will never forget coach Glanville's wild racing. Also got to see Davy Allison, Harry Gant, DW and Rusty driving a six cylinder at the race. Have a great time.We are gong to the truck and Nationwide race. We'll be camping there, right at the front gate. Talk about party central. Come join us.
Is it the end of the road for MIlwaukee, and if so why?
I don't know much about the Speedway, but I do know it is very Historic. It is probrably the only flat track I cared to watch. Always wondered why Cup never made it up there. Lots of NASCAR fans in the Cheese state.

Chuck Decker and his father, Richard, are the owner-operators of the World Championship Snowmobile Derby in Eagle River, set for Jan. 9-18 next year.
Chuck Decker confirmed today that he had inquired about the stalemate between the State Fair Park board and Milwaukee Mile Holdings LLC, the promoters of the Milwaukee Mile.
But Decker said any interest he and his family might have in taking over as the promoter of the Milwaukee Mile racetrack is premature.
A State Fair spokesman confirmed that Decker had called the fair about the situation at the Mile. But State Fair officials have consistently told possible suitors, including former promoter Dominic Giuffre, that the fair has a contract with Milwaukee Mile Holdings.
Fair officials and Milwaukee Mile Holdings have an agreement, reached in February. However, the investor group wants to be relieved of its payments, estimated at $700,000 this year. In addition, the group wants to develop land near I-94 and not the land it has an option on near W. Greenfield Ave.
The State Fair board is scheduled to meet on Monday. At least publicly, the board has indicated no interest at all in altering the current agreement with Milwaukee Mile Holdings LLC.
If that is true, the investor group has said racing could end at the Mile.
A co-chair of the state's Joint Legislative Audit Committee said it may be time for the state to abandon auto racing at State Fair Park and re-develop the Milwaukee Mile property after a report issued today found it continues to jeopardize the fair park's financial position. Rep. Suzanne Jeskewitz issued the statement in response to the Legislative Audit report, which says State Fair Park will pick up nearly $1.2 million in costs related to the Milwaukee Mile this year, most of that because of contract amendments that reduced how much racing promoter Craig Stoehr and Milwaukee Mile Holdings LLC have to pay the park in licensing fees. "We cannot continue to amend this agreement to the detriment of the taxpayer, and the state has proven it cannot operate this racetrack itself," said Jeskewitz. "Perhaps it's time to determine if we need to cut our losses and redevelop the property."(Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel)(7-12-2008)
