Wish us luck

We go to the bank this evening to get final approval for our house. IF that goes well, all that's left is:

1) Iron out the last few details with the old so-and-so who currently lives in it,

2) Sign about 738 pieces of paper,

3) Pack, load, transport, unload, unpack and arrange all this crap, and

4) Live happily ever after.

The plan is to get approved on about 4 different types of loans, then prepare a contract on each, and let the old biddie pick which one she wants to sign. That's the plan, at least. We'll see tonight I guess. Open your windows about 6 Eastern tonight. If you hear a primal war whoop, we got it. :)

Good luck to ya Ward-Fan. I hope that it goes smoothly for ya. You picked a good time to buy, interest rates are incredibly low right now. I'll end up with something right around 6% when I close next month. Hopefully you'll get through the first three steps quickly and you can move right onto the fourth step.:)

Allright TnWard!Glad it is comming together.Just let me know when my room is ready.:p I would like one with a view of the mountains, and a little maid to see to all my personel needs as well.:D Good luck buddy.:)

Our VERY BEST to you and Ironman28,21.
That paperwork is a bitc# but well worth it!
You will get such a natural high that the move will be a snap:D :D

Please YELL at us later with good news:) :)

PURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Hey, as long as you're putting up forum members, I'd like a room with a view of the kitchen. :D

Good luck to you and IM28. And if you hear a primal "Woo Hoo" coming from the general vicinity of the 40th parallel, that'll be me. :)

Kick the attorney's butt for those ridiculous Closing Costs!!!!!!!

Yuppers, lots of luck on that one. Hope all goes well

We are currently loan approved, but the mortgage specialist is searching for a better deal. Without stellar credit getting to pick between even two different lenders would be a luxury.

TWF, hope all goes well with the new place, as long as everyone is requesting a room, I'd like one on the second floor with a balcony, please;)

Good Luck to you both...........I know you will get it.............:)

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I didn't hear you:D

So,after all the paperwork, are y'all now owners and moving???

PURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr

First, thanks everyone for the well wishes.

We still don't know. The meeting at the bank did not go as well as I hoped, in that we do not qualify for the exact mortgage I want. We should, however, be approved for more money than we are willing to spend, which is good. We'll hear back early next week.

On a more hopeful note, the current owner, we found out, is a bit panicky that we had given up. Sometimes silence speaks louder than anything. She appears to be a bit more motivated to see things our way now, which is also good. There is really only one more major hurdle to clear for us, and we'll know by next week if we cleared it. I personally think we did. Some other things that will be lesser bugaboos, but nothing we can't handle.

Now, as to room assignments....pb, three sides of the house will have mountain views to some degree, so we hereby designate as your area.........the front porch. It has the best view, plus a tin roof to aid in sleeping when it rains. Aboo......the living room has a view of the kitchen, plus a gas fireplace, so that should work out fine. Plus, if pb gets to snoring, you can open the door and whack him one. Nascarwoman, the second floor has no balcony, so you can choose between a lawn chair on the roof above pb, or the landing at the top of the stairs, as there are only 2 bedrooms upstairs, we get one, the young'un gets the other. Sorry, we called shotgun on them a few weeks ago!

Thanks again for the warm fuzzies y'all. If we get it, the Bristol party's at our place next year!

Ooh, I get the living room with a fireplace! (I love fire.) I assume you have a wide screen t.v.?

Don't you worry, Bunchy. I would never whack you over the head. (I know you didn't specify where, TWF, so I just took the liberty.) I might push you off the porch because I'd want to take it over for myself (I love the outdoors and a great view), but I'd never whack you over the head. :D

Sorry you didn't get the mortgage you wanted, TWF. Most things worth having don't come too easily, as I'm sure you know. :)

That'll work.

I'll provide my own entertainment. I always do. :D

I was late again getting to the meeting but wantto put my room needs in if I can. We'll need space for the three of us and 18 huskies, a 16 foot sled, an ice maker and one hell of a big air conditioner. :)

Good luck on the mortgage hassle. Keep after the loan officer to sharpen his pencil. We just locked in yesterday for a refi on our house at 4.5%. Special rural financing from the Alaska Housing Finance Corp. This really is a welfare State. Cheap money, no points. And we even have jobs!!!!! [Sorry about all the !s Paul. But ya gotta admit sometimes they're necessary]

So do those Tennessee mountains get much show?

Don't worry it will happen, It almost seems like the bankers like to watch people squirm, After the waiting game ( which sucks ) it will be the best thing you ever did.
Congrats ahead of time.:beerchug:

TWF - I'll take the lawn chair on the roof above pb, that way I'll have a good view, Please don't take Alaska's dogs, I am allergic.:D

nascarwoman, I'll bring benadryl:D
TNW has a doggie, but I don't think he and Ironman will have enough room for Alaska's sled dogs.
As for the air conditioner, he liked cold since I knew him in HS. :p
That's why he moved to Alaska, and I moved to GA:D

PURRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Kat, which is proper, to wash benadryl down with Bud , Miller or Coors? I'd better bring some of each, just in case:D :D :D

No need to worry, nascarwoman. Yer in the hills now, we use white lightnin to wash most everything down. You won't even need the Benadryl...few slashes of that stuff and yer allergies are a thing of the past!

TWF, do you provide the Mason jar, or do I bring my own?

LMAO! You can bring your own or we could supply the jar. Actually a shot glass might be big enough.

One HELL of a party is right. Only about 48 hours left till we know if we will proceed on this house. Things look good though. I am keeping my fingers crossed but also am not getting to excited if this one doesn't happen there will be another.
