Up here in NE it's got to be the worst allergy season I've ever been through. My eyes have been watering and my nose has been blocked for weeks on end. I wake up every morning and sneeze 6,412 times in a row.

How's the air in your neck of the woods?

"6,412 times in a row."

Thats a helluva lot, dude.

And same down here in the heart of Dixie. I'm thinking we blame that damned Al Gore. Atmosphere just sucks bad.

Paul, you're just lagging behind us by about a month. I had those same symptoms last month and it was the worst. It's finally died down, but now there is other polen that seems to be getting into the lungs.

Ive had a lot of problems with itchy, watery, red eyes this year with my allergies. Not good.:(

Dittos. This has to be the windiest Spring that I can remember in a long while which doesn't help.

No allergies here in the People's Socialist Democratic Republic of Maryland. :)

This has been the wettest Spring I can remember. Droughts keep pollen counts high, floods eliminate them. :D

One of my daughters is really having a hard time with her allergies right now.

The rains came, and came, washing away the greenish-yellow pollen that had coated the landscape. But allergy clinics are still filling up with the miserable.

The rainstorms, it seems, solved one problem but ushered in others: flourishing mold and grass.

''There is an upside and a downside to the rain, depending on what people are allergic to,'' said Dr. James M. Rubin, chief of the clinical immunology and allergy division at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan. ''A lot of people are feeling better, at least those people who were only allergic to tree pollens, because the rain washed a lot of the tree pollen away. But some people are allergic to both tree pollen and grass pollen, and that's why they're not feeling so good now.

''In addition,'' Dr. Rubin said, ''now there's a proliferation of mold spores, because of the rain and the dampness, so people allergic to mold won't be feeling so good.''

It was terrible here last month, but the frequent rains have really kept the pollen down the last couple of weeks.

However, after mowing the front yard (about 3 acres) on Sunday, I was sniffy, and itchy-eyed on Monday. Guess I stirred up too much dust and weed pollen.

Hey TRL

It was terrible here last month, but the frequent rains have really kept the pollen down the last couple of weeks.

We have taught everyone in our family to wear a painters mask when mowing.. No more itchy eyes and sneezing! The things are cheap and keep all dust and pollen out of your nose.
Betsy;)

It hasn't been horrible here, but theres still enough to bug my allergies...

It's getting there, but not as bad as it will get! Of course, the trees and other foliage are all confused since we get days in the high 70s, even low 80s and then it drops to the 50s. Blech! That's what's happening here now and of course, we're getting our "grand pup" to sit for the weekend. I told my daughter I think it could be the middle of summer and if we were supposed to watch him, it would get cold and rainy. It seems to happen every time we have him. <note to self: tell kid we can't watch the pup and maybe the weather won't get crappy! lol>

Most of the main chains of pharmacies and even grocery stores carry the saline spray in their own cheaper brand. I use it a lot in the winter when it gets dry in the house.
