The "good old days" ??
Just watched the race. It was a little more exciting than most Atlanta NW races, especially the restarts.
The move Justin pulled on Sorenson was plain dirty. He said he was trying to 'shoot the gap', but there was NO gap. So he drives into his teamates rear quarterpanel to move him up. When the first shot doesn't work, he throttles up and plain wrecks Reed. This was a CLEAR a situation where you back off and give your teammate room.
It reminds me of how he raced Kez last year while Brad was running for a championship. Ran him all over the track and blocked the heck out of him every chance he got, and almost wrecked him a few times. I remember the race at Phoenix? where Brad had one of the fastest cars but got set back to 9th by a bad pit stop. Justin changed lans and blocked the heck out of him for 17 laps while he let Wallace and a few others go by.
I don't think Justin can handle being second fiddle, so he gets frustrated and does dumb things. Apparently Turner wasn't happy, because he called Justin to the hauler for a meeting and wouldn't comment afterward. This is the kind of thing that could get him taken out of the car.
Meanwhile, the organizations plans for a championship are probably over. Reed has overcome a lot this year, but he went from 15 pts out to 40 pts out with that one wreck. But Justin finally beat his teammate. I hope he's happy.
